We were very pleased with the hotel. First of all, it is in a great location. When we got tired while wandering, we immediately went to our room, stretched our feet for 15 minutes and continued our tour. The cleanliness of the room, the facilities and the breakfast made me wonder why this hotel should be 3 stars or at least 4 stars. The staff also provided an excellent service and we left really happy. We were also happy that there was no parking problem. I strongly recommend it.

The room was fine. We needed extra bedding and 2 nice staff came immediately and made the extra bed for us. However! We arrived with a reservation confirmation of 2 adults 1 child. Their confirmation had 2 people therefore the room they had was too small. They did have another room for 3 they said we could have but it would be 30 euros extra. At the time we simply agreed and paid as there was a big queue behind us and the amount was small. Buttons seemed like a con to extract more money from us, it wasn't our mistake as we had confirmation for 3 people at the designated price. It's a shame as I really liked Ghent and will certainly return but there are other hotels to choose from.

Wir hatten Zimmer 32 und 2 Nächte… zu mehr wäre ich nicht bereit gewesen! Des Ausblick war fantastisch, direkt auf die Burg, das Fenster war eher ein Schießschacht als ein Fenster, zu dem man sich herunterbücken musste um herauszusehen … es gab nur sehr dürftiges Lichtquellen in dem umgebauten Dachboden! Badezimmer waren neu, top, allerdings auch sonst als Dunkelkammer in Funktion! Ab 6.30h werden vor dem Hotel (gefühlt im Zimmer) anscheinend die Glascontainer der ganzen Stadt verarbeitet, en bißchen umgefüllt, en bisschen rumgeschoben etc … wenn die dann um 7.00h fertig sind gibt die Bahn, ebenfalls vor dem Hotel alles, um die letzten auch noch aus dem Bett zu holen! Wir hatten uns so sehr gefreut und es wurde zum Alptrip , das alles für diesen Preis… das Frühstück war ok , der Raum durfte nur gerne 3x so groß sein, oder zumindest ein zweiter Kaffeautomat, der war sehr lecker … sooo schade!

Friendly staff let down by the cleanliness of the rooms and awful smells coming from the toilet / bathroom. Thick layer of dust on the TV, mould on bathroom ceiling and dark hairs on bed (definitely not my hair colour). Couldn’t run the air conditioning due to a strong smell of fish when turning it on. While the carpet looked relatively new it also hadn’t been cleaned around the edges in some time, similar to the bedside lamps and shelves which also are covered in thick dust.

Right in the center without being bothered by noise. Hotel looks neat! The only drawback was a very hard sofa bed, but the room and bathroom were neat!
