Friendly welcome, clean rooms, sleeping comfort of mattress bed okay, sofa bed okay but 1 disadvantage with 2 people lying together then you literally roll waist to side. Another plus is that the curtains close well, so the room remains dark early in the morning.

No possibility to open a window and the room is very warm. Ventilation is everything, even if this is within the interior space. The air conditioning also does not cool the room, even at 16°. Parking is expensive and what a terrible ring to get to their parking. Miss 1 exit of 3 arms and immediately take a fifteen minute detour and try again. Which engineer drew the road plan there? Definitely a good seller! Too bad for the hotel! A very neat hotel, equipped with everything, nice dining, very good beds, professional staff. I went back there in no time by helicopter! ;)

Room service is very friendly! good!  But its location is completely inconvenient (because the road is closed, all the stations near it are closed), so it takes an extra 15 minutes to walk to another station in the morning every day so that you can take a bus to other places. The only drawback is this 😮‍💨

I have stayed here so many times over the years and wow, does this place need a refurb. I always find the staff responsive and courteous which is a bonus. Beds and pillows are comfortable. However the place is so tired once you step out of the lift onto your room floor. Well walked carpets and decor that wouldn’t look out of place on the 60s. I actually feel this place is over priced given its current state. The bar no longer exists on entering the establishment, which I didn’t realise until the reception mentioned it had moved downstairs into the dining area. I just assumed it was closed as the big curtain was pulled. One thing that alarmed me was that there was some bare wiring visible behind the bedside cabinet. This being in a place were perhaps a glass of water or cup of tea when spilt would make a bad combination. The showers seem to be fitted weird too. It’s difficult to stand under them. Overall, not the best place but also not the worst.

Had thought I had booked the Holiday Inn Express nearby that I have used before but this was shut for refurbishment and so hadn’t noticed the only HI listed was this one. Quite amazed that the Express was being refurbished and not this one! This is a dated and very tired hotel. From the car park and odd roadwork strewn approach road to the rooms and decor. In the room the drain plug in the sink didn’t work, one reading light over the bed don’t work, the plug in the desk was loose and the sheets on the bed didn’t fit (they just covered the top and didn’t tuck in) so bunched up all the time. Arriving late on a Saturday we were met with a notice saying the restaurant was closed, despite being in a remote location on the edge of the city with no alternatives. Oh and it’s closed every Sunday as well! We had a drink in the bar and a take away pizza, it found the restaurant area had quite a few flies buzzing around. Lady on receptions was friendly and helpful as was the bar man.

Despite the bad reviews I booked this hotel during the Ghent Festival. It may be a little old but this hotel is great. The tram to the city is only 200 metres away, the trams run 24/7 during the festival, the food is lovely, in a beautiful restaurant, the staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms comfortable and clean. Highly recommended.

The hotel was one night stay on our way to Calais back to UK as a planned stop. Hotel has wide parking with electric charging facilities. And special thanks to hotel staff helping me find and operate the charger. Hotel is clean despite being a bit old. Friendly a d helpful staff. Tram station near by with access to city centre

Thanks to your Gentlemen at the front desk for a very comfy stay The Hotel has seen good days, and is great for big families - the paths are smooth with natural greeneries into the City so its perfect for nature lovers alike! Breakfast should definitely improve... ..

Where to start… rooms not clean, all MUST renovation. looked fir us fir a room long time until founf normal one, which we can stay in. showers dirty. water pressure very low in shower. attached see how it looks near bed. staff was ashamed witj the situation. I always recommeng Holiday inns, this time, sorry, do not come here.
