We had a fantastic stay at Gibbston Valley Lodge & Spa. This was definitely one of the best places that we have stayed at around the world. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, tending to our queries and requests. We would like to specifically thank Junio for his warmth and helpfulness. The villas are spacious, clean and with all amenities you would need. There is a lovely patio/garden area overlooking some vineyards which is a lovely area to relax in. The bathroom is also large and clean, with a bathtub with spa functions. The food at the restaurant was delicious - we had two dinners and one breakfast there and were given extremely friendly service and top notch food, showcasing local produce. The outdoor hot tub and sauna are also very nice to relax in, with a beautiful view of the valley.

Staff and service first rate. Rooms spacious but felt a little corporate and we were on vacation. Can imagine hotel is best suited for business meetings or retreats. Access to the vineyard and winery is nice but otherwise facilities are minimal. (Didn’t use spa, which is highly rated.). Location right next to highway is convenient but results in highway noise at times. Restaurant was quite good, especially the specially-requested salad as a first course.

I had a wonderful morning at the spa. Stacey was brilliant, best massage and facial I have had. I was completely relaxed and walked out floating. I did not feel rushed at all to get changed afterwards. The area around the spa is so tranquil, you relax before setting foot through the door.

The lodge and the facilities were amazing. Staff was helpful and friendly. Restaurant had great food and better value than most you would find in Queenstown. Do not miss out on the hot tub, private cinema, free wine tasting and bike rides. The wines are all from gibbston valley vineyards but they are all so amazing you won't feel like you're missing out on other vineyards or regions.

Fabulous dinner at The Lodge. The atmosphere is relatively quiet as there isn’t a lot of indoor seating available. Entree, main, side and dessert options available with the option to do a wine pairing. We loved the flavors and the focaccia was the best I’ve ever had.
