Located high above the main town, Hotel Le Beffroi is an unique and welcome experience. The main building was built in the 15th century. Although the furniture is a bit dated and the stairs are well worn, the host is wonderful and the meals are delicious. Note there is no elevator and the stairs can be challenging. Very clean and comfortable bed and linens. There is also a relaxing pool. Very much enjoyed my stay.

Installé dans un bâtiment historique de la ville médiévale, l'hôtel en a conservé un superbe salon et un escalier en spiralé en pierres de taille. Les chambres sont agréablement meublées et certaines ont à la fois la climatisation et une vue superbe ! Si l'hôtel n'a pas d'ascenseur, il possède un parking privé juste en face (plan d'accès fourni par l'hôtel à utiliser impérativement, de préférence au GPS...) Nous remercions les membres de l'équipe et la direction de l'hôtel pour la gentillesse et l'amabilité dont ils ont fait preuve. Tous se sont mis en quatre pour résoudre avec panache un problème survenu au moment de notre prise de réservation, et la solution proposée a largement dépassé nos attentes ! N.B. Très bon restaurant à l'hôtel !

Stayed for one night and it is situated right up in the old town near the chateau not down in the actual main town area. It was good with creative original artwork of action superheros or similar themes in the corridors and our room. Some other unique artwork in the courtyard supporting local artists. Our double room was good, quiet, clean and on the second level (no lift). Restaurant wasn’t open so no opinion and there were good options nearby. Breakfast was good value.

L'hôtel est fort bien situé dans un quartier ancien de la ville. Le cadre est magnifique ainsi que la vue depuis la salle du petit déjeuner.
Le confort et la propreté de l'Hôtel sont très correct.
Je suis très satisfait de l'hôtel.
Le seul problème, ce qui fait le charme de l'hôtel est à la fois son défaut, est qu'il est situé dans un endroit très fréquenté par les touristes, en haut d'une rue qui serpente de pavés, et on doit traverser deux tunnels assez étroits. Il faut donc se frayer un chemin parmi les touristes, ce qui est loin d'être agréable, si on a une voiture assez large, manœuvrer avec précision car ça passe tout juste. Tout ça pour arriver dans un parking sous dimensionné, les voitures étant garées en double file, obligeant à laisser les clefs à l'accueil. On a renoncé à utiliser la voiture pour visiter les environs car c'est vraiment trop contraignant.
Cela n'enlève rien à la qualité de l'hôtel qui est vraiment très bien avec piscine privée.

If staying in a castle is on your bucket list, stay here! We rented two rooms for our family of 5 (three teens). It feels like somewhere Harry Potter would have stayed. Gorgeous old building with modern washrooms, literally inside a Medieval Village. Stairs are spiral stone, and may not feel safe if you have mobility issues.
We parked in public parking at the bottom of the hill and walked the 10 minutes up because we were intimidated by trying to drive our rental car through the narrow roads, from reading other reviews.
This was a unique and beautiful highlight on our family’s trip to France!
