Majo Private Villas

Best accommodation we stayed in for the whole trip in Indonesia. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the hotel manager and restaurant manager, they gave us a wonderful presentation of the island and the activities we could do. The villa is marvelous, way better than the pictures! Very relaxing and curated atmosphere. The villas are in the middle of the island but they provide complimentary bikes, with which you can reach easily every point of the island. My husband and I loved our stay there. ❤️

We stayed at Majo Private Villas for our honeymoon, and honestly… it was one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment we arrived, everything just felt special. The villa was beautiful — super private, very clean, and the pool was just perfect. We loved waking up, opening the doors, and jumping straight into our own pool. It felt peaceful and romantic without trying too hard. The staff made it even better. Everyone was so warm and genuine, not the “overly formal hotel” type, but really kind and attentive. They helped us with everything we needed and always greeted us with a smile. If you’re thinking about staying here for a honeymoon or special trip, just book it. We made so many beautiful memories there, and I’d go back in a heartbeat.

This is a tough one to review . Mostly I appreciated the quiet and peacefulness of this hotel / private villa with pool . The perfect place to recharge . Staff is very friendly and helps any way they can and fast . Rooms are fully equipped and comfortable . The island being small you can get around the island fast with bicycles provided free of charge by hotel . What I found to be negative was the choice we had for breakfast , healthy but pretty limited. Beds should be larger but worse is the mud road one needs to walk or drive on to get to the hotel . I would also want to see some lights being installed on these roads surely when having to pass close to some older houses where the road becomes even tighter . All in all we enjoyed our stay this is surely not a bad hotel but also not a perfect one .

I absolutely loved my time at MAJO, my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. The Villas are beautiful and have a very peaceful and tranquil vibe. The central location is perfect for going anywhere on the island, and the 2 included bikes was very appreciated. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. It was sad to leave, but I’ll definitely be coming back to MAJO in the future.

the staff is not responsive at all. I was not able to fly in due to the volcano eruption and there is no sympathy from the hotel to offer refund. they just bluntly ask me to reschedule my flight when it is not even safe to fly in. I have tried to contact them 3 days prior check in but they only reply me one day before and ask me to reschedule my flight when i am flying from overseas. service is terrible!!!!

I never comeback to this place, i had my reserve money in the vault, 3x €1000 in notes of €200. I only use this money when ever there is an emergancy. They took from every deck 1x €200 so i wouldnt see it when i leave. So in total i got robbed for €600. The reason i know how and when this happend is because, i used to count them everytime i leave the vault and check it, because i leave my rolex and wifes jewelry there. So that day before i went to the utophiacatamaran, i opend the vault to take my glasses out, and saw the money was the same as always. When i came back, afther i opend the safe i saw the decks were incomplete. So i missed 1x of €200 note at every deck. I questioned my self like??? I asked Majo, who has acces to the masterkey of the vault. They said only the manager, but that day the manager took a day off and i said, so the manager took a day off today. When i forget my code of my vault who's gonna open the fault for me if i have to leave now? Well, then everyone has acces to the masterkey... Lucky that it was not my vacation money, but my reserve otherwise i would of get more crazy then every there and break everything there...
