Our decision to stay at this hotel was the location to Claude Monet’s garden. It is a 3 minute walk away. Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and happy to help with our luggage up the stairs to our room. The staff were friendly, some did struggle with english, but that is to be expected. Parking is available onsite. It’s a lovely boutique hotel and the room we booked was spacious enough for our three night stay. I did notice much smaller rooms at the property, so you’d need to be conscious of this when making a booking. On reflection I don’t think we would have stayed here all three nights, as there is very little open in Giverny at night. Also not much option for dinner, as we ate in the hotel restaurant the first night. Overpriced for what we thought was just an ok meal. Fortunately we had a car and spent most of the time out seeing the area and eating at other restaurants. This hotel is an excellent location if you’re overnight in Giverny and looking to go to Monet’s garden.

On reviendra.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is so fitting for a place like Giverny and the ultimate boutique hotel. Staff are friendly and it is like a little home. Breakfast was included in our stay and it is authentic enough without being unfriendly to non French speaking tourists. It is less than 5 minutes walk to Monet's Garden. Everything in Giverny is so close to the hotel but there is no that much to do at night. Luckily the hotel has a great Michelin recommended restaurant. I see some reviews saw the rooms are small but that is France and there are bigger rooms. We did book a bigger room and it was very spacious (Les Plumes - #12). No elevators so you do have to walk up the stairs. Our room was minimalist but still functional. It had everything we needed and was in line with the country feel of Giverny. I loved it and wished we could stay longer. Very relaxing and home like. Would definitely stay here again if I am back in Giverny.

Great location with the benefit of parking. Attentive staff, good food. Bedroom very disappointing, couldn’t swing a cat in it! Had to clamber up a stair into the tiniest bathroom, step was very unsafe when wet.. Just felt like a greedy hotelier had gone all out to maximise number of rooms over quality of accommodation. One tiny light in the corner. Kept tripping over our bags in this badly lit tiny room. Sadly would not recommend.

From the first step in the door, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was the Chambres Privelège, which could not have been more beautiful, overlooking the town, gorgeous hotel grounds, and nearby fields of Normandy cows. The room had a full bath with a shower with multiple heads in a deep soaking tub. There was a comfortable large bed for us, and a daybed against the wall that was presented as lovely seating. We enjoyed the in-room Nespresso machine and tea kettle, as well as the tv. The lighting was built into the walls, so as to create an ambiance that was delightful, without glare, with additional retro pendant bulbs for extra light, and there were easily accessible switches and plugs. There was a spiral staircase to get to our room, but the staff carried our luggage up without us asking, which was much appreciated. We ate dinner at the restaurant downstairs, choosing the six course fixed menu. It was in the top three meals I've eaten in my life, and I've eaten at some great Michelin starred places. The lamb shoulder and saddle had a breaded portion that was absolutely exquisite and took my breath away, and the "perfect" 64 minute egg appetizer was spectacular, as were the scallops. Breakfast the next day appeared simple... A basket of bread and chocolate cake, local fruit, coffee, local jams and raw honey, oats, etc., but all spectacularly fresh and delicious. Then our server brought us the best local apple juice I've ever tasted (my husband got orange), local yogurt, and local cheese that was too die for. It was blissfully quiet and unrushed and we could not have enjoyed it more. The hotel is right in the heart of Giverny, just a few minutes walk from Monet's house and gardens. We walked the streets in the dark at night and enjoyed the sights during the day. The hotel had beautiful grounds to relax in and ample free parking. October was a fantastic time to be there, with almost no crowd, so we could easily move around as we pleased without a wait, with gorgeous fall leaves and plenty of flowers at Monet's house and on the grounds of the hotel. The price was a steal, especially compared to a Marriott, etc., and the hotel and restaurant experience was as delightful as seeing the rest of the town. I would go back there in a heartbeat.
