Boclair House Hotel

We had our wedding here on 1st July 2024 and it was the best day of our lives. A massive thank you to all the staff at Boclair for going above and beyond to make our day so special. Massive thanks to Richard and Amy for everything on the day. Always on point making sure everything ran smoothly and exactly as we wanted. Resident DJ Craig Kelman was an absolute star. From the start of the night to the end he had the dancefloor bouncing and knew exactly what music to play for all our guests tastes. Great guy and brilliant DJ thank you Craig. Our wedding breakfast was absolutely delicious and plenty of choices for dietary requirements. We want to do it all over again! Honestly can't thank you all enough, we will treasure the memories forever

Was at my son's wedding there on 18th May absolutely stunning venue everything from start to finish was first class and the staff were all brilliant.The room we had was first class and thoroughly spotless and would definitely recommend this place .

We recently attended a family wedding at Boclair, what an amazing venue! Everything was absolutely perfect. My father is in a wheelchair and staff went above and beyond to make sure he enjoyed the day and was taken into the ceremony and any meal etc first so we did not struggle navigating groups of people. There is an accessible toilet in the ground floor of the building and a ramp and disabled parking at the back of the building to allow access. Many old grand buildings struggle with accessibility due to the style of design but Boclair have done their utmost to overcome that and be inclusive. Everything was fabulous!

Stepson’s wedding at Boclair . What a fantastic day. Staff were brilliant , very professional and well organised . They made the day purr along without being in the way. Food was good and bedrooms first class. Drink prices were reasonable considering the location which was impressive. A few English relatives there who were blown away with the whole experience. Great job from all involved.

We attended the most beautiful wedding at this venue which was perfect from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, food well cooked and served efficiently, rooms decorated beautifully and they really seemed to care about the bride and groom having the best day. The upstairs suite we stayed in was stunning as well, perfect way to end such a wonderful day!

Attended daughters wedding here. Hotel was beyond perfect ,from the staff to the rooms everything was magnificent. Attention to detail was first class. Absolutely fantastic place if your looking for a perfect wedding

Firstly the embarrassment at having a meal refused for a child when it was clearly paid for. And after some coming and going getting some inedible undercooked chicken for her. By the time she was given it she had eaten bits and pieces from everyone on the table. My son had the chicken also and it was pink inside but not as bad as the baby's. She didn't get any dessert either she ate her mum's. My vegi meal was disgusting tasteless mush with a very strong sauce covering it. I left most of it but no one even asked was everything ok. The buffet that evening couldn't be identified as no labels on it. No lights so my partner used his torch to get some. We didn't have wedding cake as didn't see it at all.. I was in the room with the babies. The chicken was dry. I purchased three rooms at £175 each. Our room was the Skye. The bathroom windows couldn't be closed and music played till 3am outside so it was impossible to sleep. My daughter in the room next door said the same but fortunately she could close her windows! At breakfast the following morning it was like Fawlty towers. I ordered just four items and specified no meat! I was given no tomato but sausage.. The server said she had written it down wrong. Human error ok ... And brought me the correct one. Then brought my partner's and the groom's mums. Went to get sauce then came back and told them their breakfasts weren't theirs and took them away! Then she returned and told me she had mine...I asked her why and she said it's got fried eggs. I just was fed up at this point and said I'll keep what I have. She looked so confused! The place wasnt busy at all so really no excuse for us all being served so badly! The rooms are stunning. The place is beautiful. I feel let down as the service should be fabulous especially given that it was such a small party. To add the bride and groom didn't get a piece of their own wedding cake and were told it was binned! They didn't have prosecco to toast the speeches as they weren't given any! I'm shocked that a venue used purely for weddings isnt run like a well oiled machine!

Attended my son and daughter in laws wedding and stayed overnight. Absolutely beautiful wedding venue. My bedroom was beyond gorgeous, and the attention to detail throughout was stunning. All in all a luxury experience all around. Thank you to the great staff.

I’ve stayed here before for a day around Christmas 2018 (?) to see family, but when I tried to book subsequent visits more recently, I was told I couldn’t stay as it was exclusively only for weddings, and stays outside of weddings couldn’t use the hotel . I have family in Bearsden, and this hotel would have helped a lot, however now I’m pushed to staying in the Kimpton hotel in the centre of Glasgow ( there is not very many hotels of any quality in Glasgow for some weird reason?) It’s shame this hotel is only for wedding parties, as this hotel impressed me and was really convenient.
