Just to be clear, this isn't a fine star establishment but it does deserve a fine star review for what it provides at the price or charges. City centre location. Lots of shopping and food options around the venue. Staff were very pleasant although more knowledge about bus routes would have been helpful given the number of out of towners that will be staying here. I chose a double room without a window sunder I was literally just sleeping here rather than spending time in the room. It is very clean, nice white bedding. The double bed took up the whole of the Room bar the entrance part but that was absolutely not an issue because I didn't need any more space. There was a toilet and shower wet room, TV, mirror, hanging area (not a full wardrobe but it absolutely sure what I needed). I appreciated the interesting extra touches which had clearly been considered for a compact space such as storage under the bed for luggage, free wi-fi, plug points and light switches by the bed and only having room cleaning and bedding changed on request and for an additional charge, rather than being included in three cost of the Room when it really wasn't necessary or environmentally aware given that I only had a two night stay. I would definitely use this service again. I paid £25 per night through booking.com which for a city centre location is outstanding.

The English breakfast was hearty and delicious. The hotel has complete facilities, elegant environment and high security. It is only a 5-minute walk from the university where my daughter is studying. There is a cafe downstairs, and afternoon tea is convenient.

I get what this hotel is trying to do, but it doesn't do it that well! I had good communication prior to my stay, a few texts reminding me. I liked the self check in screen, saves time. The room itself was supposed to be a 'queen' but it was extremely cramped, the bed was a small double at best and there was a weird single bunk bed over the double, which made the room feel so small and oppressive. Floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom were inconvenient. There was a door joining my room to the next which was less than ideal. The whole hotel was very noisy, you could hear doors opening and closing all over the place. There was a lot of noise coming from the room next door which was made worse by the door, as this let more noise in. The party eventually stopped about 3am. This wasn't just me, my colleague had to ask someone to come up and stop a party in the hallway at 1am and he was 2 floors up. No kettle, no water, pretty basic room. This would do for one night maximum IF there was nowhere else.

The location of the hotel is a quiet area, not far from the city center, and it is convenient to go to the pedestrian street. The service staff is more enthusiastic, the breakfast is more abundant, and the variety is more complete. The bathroom sink hot and cold water faucet is separate and not very used. The overall experience is better.

A very warm welcome to Scotland from our receptionist who was so helpful in pointing out the highlights and giving us recommendations. Best night’s sleep in ages. The room was a carbon copy of one we’d stayed in the night before in Newcastle. Modern, super clean and very comfy. Fantastic breakfast with great pastries, lovely yoghurts, porridges, bagels and hot treats. Really loved it.

The hotel is situated in the centre of the town which makes you easy to go anywhere. Don’t forget to park your car in their car park which is more cheaper than you put your car in somewhere.

I stayed in this hotel for 5 days and i wished i checked out after 2 nights. I booked this hotel ages ago thinking that i will have a comfortable, safe, and good sleep. BUT 1.) From the day i checked in in this branch in Buchanan, i only seen one female staff (White young lady) that smile when she assisted another guest, the rest looks and feels like you are an inconvenient to them. 2.) The website does not stipulate that the aircondition will automatically turned off in the middle of the night. After few nights, i raise this concern to the young woman (with color) in the reception and she said there is some sort of code that only staff can open this so it was fix on that morning. But on that night it happened again, i woke up sweating as the aircondition was turned off again. I went to the reception that night feeling miserably for waking up sweaty and was told by the manager on duty that the aircon is set and will automatically turned off at a certain hour to save energy. He said to just turned it on back again. So, imagine waking up every 3 hours just to turn on your aircon because the hotel that guarantees a good sleep is saving energy. This manager provided me a fan that night instead. Before the aircondition issue, the first room (1803) that Mark allocated for me has issue as well. The electricity suddenly was not working on my first night so they shifted me to room 911 and provided me a free breakfast to compensate the inconvenience. It took a while for them to inform me that i had to shift, i went down twice to the reception as i do not know why my phone did not charge that night, cannot shower because there was no lights. I sent email as well that was provided by that young lady in color but no one came in my room so i showered with a bit of lights from the outside window. After ages of waiting 2 gentlemen finally turned up and told me that the whole 18 floor has issue with the power. 3.) The new room 911 that was allocated to me has a good bed. The room was standard, clean, quiet, and has basic amenities like coffee, sugar, tea. My only concern was the aircondition that i could not sleep well. The fan did ease a bit though but it is not what you paid for since it is stipulated in their website under facilities that aircondition is provided and a good sleep is guaranteed. My experience in this branch was the opposite - uncomfortable environment with horrible sleep. Perhaps if you stay one or two nights you will not feel that there is an issue. I tried to move out and request a refund, unfortunately i was also told that after 3 days of checking in policy is no longer valid and if i request for a refund or dispute the response from their third party takes between 20 to 25 days. Keep in mind that from day 1 there was already an issue but they compensated it with the free breakfast. I wish i noticed the red flag right away! 4.) We stayed one night. Hotel is lovely and very well maintained. Reception staff friendly. Our room was good with amazingly comfy bed. The bathroom however let it down as grout was a bit mouldy and bath matt dirty. Also room didn't appear to have a hairdryer. The Champagne Central bar was great but our cocktails were such a rip off: £10.50 each and had ice to the brim of tall glasses so hardly anything in the glass to drink - shocking and disappointing. Breakfast very good but wouldn't expect to get my own tea or coffee from a machine or make my own toast at a 4 star hotel.

Absolutely brilliant and friendly staff going over and above they allowed me 3 hour early check in thank you and merry Christmas
