M22 Inn Glen Arbor

Recently had a change of travel plans that caused us to cancel our 2 night reservation at M22 Inn-Glen Arbor. Cancellation was 8 days prior to our scheduled arrival. Property's stated cancellation policy is 10 days or no refund. Shame on me for overlooking this. I had hoped that because our stay was in low season (February) we might not be on the hook for the entire 2 day charge...no luck. Cancel 10 days in advance or lose not just your deposit but all charges for all nights of your stay. Shame on M22 Inn! It's disappointing to see a small business in a small market with a policy like this that is certain to drive business away. We've vacationed in the Glen Arbor area for decades and are asked by friends/neighbors, from time to time, for lodging recommendations. We will not recommend the M22 Inn-Glen Arbor or any of the 3 other sister properties with the same policy.

We stayed here for a night while road tripping through Michigan. You can tell the property is aging, with creaky stairs and older bathroom fixtures. However, it was comfortable enough for us and the location right off the highway was convenient. The price is fairly expensive for what you get, although that seemed to be basically the going rate for a weekend night near the shore. Parking was free and overall we'd return on a future visit.

I would not recommend staying at M 22 in Glen Arbor. Started out with getting there and having no one to check in with you have to text the number. The stairway and hallways have very old wrinkled carpet that I’m sure is covering up what’s underneath. The units are old and need updating! Didn’t even have the same linens on each bed. Windows were left open to air out the room and there was a lingering odor in the room. Toilet didn’t flush properly, so we had to go into town and find public restrooms to use, of course, no one around to remedy the problem!! Overall experience was bad and we will not be back.

Stayed 3 nights. Great location. Quiet outdoor seating and charming front lawn. A beer garden was nestled behind the inn (don’t worry, they close around 8). Responsive inn keepers. Could use some updating. The stairs closer to the road had a bee nest hidden under a step (my parents both got stung). The property recently changed hands, so it seems like things are turning around.

Great location. Clean, convenient, comfortable and safe. Owners were very cooperative when we wanted to leave our car while we went riding after checkout. We have stayed before and will not hesitate to return. If you like Glen Arbor and the area, want a clean and comfortable place to sleep then this place is perfect.

Uncomfortable bed, pillows and sheets. If this hotel wasn’t 200 yards ( no lake view mind you) you would pay $49 a night. It was so old and unappealing we left a day early. No night stands no table lamps the furniture and bathroom are original but not charming. Unfortunately you can get this price up in Glen Arbor. Nicer rooms in TC and not too long a drive

My only complaint, and this is minor, would be the toilets are too short! It was close to many hiking trails and also Lake Michigan. We found a couple of decent places to eat at within walking distance....and the Cherry Public is right out the back of the motel.

Stayed here 4 nights, pre booked by family. Pros: free parking, bed linens clean, close to main street, and the market. Nice little court yard out front. Happiness ends there! Cons: carpet very dirty, didn't want to take my shoes off. The shower curtain had mold all over the bottom, door to bathroom didn't close. If you closed the bath door, you had to kick it to open. Stairs so scary felt unsafe. White towels were GRAY and old. No service, due to covid, which we understood, so had to flag someone down to exchange towels. Furniture old and dated. Lighting was horrible, need bigger wattage. In need of outside update. The key entry very hard to open and operate. We saw one man actually sitting in a chair trying to open his door.
