We attended an U19 water polo tournament in Gloucester and booked the 17 team members into Premier Inn. Our stay in the hotel was excellent as always, but our flight were delayed arriving in Bristol resulting in a late arrival to the hotel 30 minutes after the restaurant kitchen was due to close. As we had pre booked the dinner deal, we called ahead before we departed and Donna took our call. She was most helpful, but said the restaurant stopped serving at 9pm and suggested that she would talk to the restaurant, and see what they could do. She arranged for them to wait until 9:30apm and took a pre order for food from us, suggested we could check in after we had eaten, and when we arrived at the Beefeater restaurant the food was ready and waiting for us. Without the fantastic support from Donna our players would not have been fed, and would have found it difficult to feed them that late at night. While they were eating, Donna sorted out the rooms and had them all ready and waiting for us to check in and go to our rooms. Needless to say, the food and service was excellent in the restaurant, but Donna went about and beyond the call of duty to help us. The small things make the big things worthwhile. Thanks Donna

Stayed here on an Easter rugby tour weekend. Hotel was conveniently located next to the towns main shopping centre and offered free parking which although limited we were fortunate to access. The hotel was very busy on the Saturday morning breakfast and would suggest a reservation. The food was excellent on the Sunday with a full selection available. Saturday’s was very crowded resulting in a long queue for the cooked breakfast and some of the food not being available. Staff were really helpful and accommodating with accepting a late booking for our party of 19 adults and 17 children on Saturday evening. Heidi was excellent.

£126 for 2 adults and 1 child includes breakfast, we arrived at 11 for the early check in at £10 was told to come back , we came back at 1pm paid the £10 and got into room 6 , the kettle was dirty, hairs on the bed, blood on the mattress protecter and bathroom faulty making a banging noise which you could hear in the corridor to ,Went to reception to report bathroom and was told the maintenance man will sort it while we popped out, came back at 2.45 maintained man had left for the day. We were then moved to room 7 , with 1 lot of towels no bedding so we had to ***** the beds in room 6 to make them up ourselves in room 7 and take the towels. View from the window was a bin !! Disgusting for what we thought would be a nice overnight stay. I looked online how much it is to stay £30 !!! Ripped off poor quality and a complete disaster no one cares here . No hot water in the shower in room 7.

Great for a stay in the city and convenient for the docks and numerous retail outlets on the doorstep. Also has limited free parking. This is a purpose-built hotel and is in good order overall. If staying in Gloucester, this is probably the best place all round.

First the good stuff. The room was excellent. Well appointed and clean. Good coffee machine and coffee. So, why only 2 stars. Having paid £260 for just me to stay in a premium room for one night I find it unbelievable that the free WiFi was poor but I was asked to pay an extra. £5 a night for the “ ultimate” WiFi !! That’s like providing Izal toilet paper and asking a fiver for soft tissue or having dim lighting and offering brighter bulbs for an extra £5. It reminds of flying with EasyJet where almost everything is extra. I will use Travel Lodge next time

This was our first stay at Premier Inn, Gloucester Quayside and it was a good night's stay. We booked online from the USA and on arrival, everything was as expected. The room was modern, spotlessly clean, well appointed and had everything we needed, including facilities for making tea and instant coffee. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's rest. Two things we found interesting: 1) it was necessary to use our room key to get access to the elevator - a good security measure that made us feel quite safe, and 2) a slot for the roomkey just inside the door that made it possible to keep the room lights on; take the key out and after a 10 second or so delay, the lights go out. It is a great economy feature, but a bit awkward if one person wants to stay in the room and the other needs to go out to get something. If two people are staying, this issue can be resolved by requesting two keys. We had an evening meal and cooked breakfast at the Beefeater's Restaurant across from the hotel and found it very good. The server was a delight and the kitchen staff even modified our order to our liking. I would suggest they add some lighter and a bit more basic selections to the menu (i.e. a basic cheeseburger in addiiton to the bacon cheese burger or double burgers. The breakfast was a typical English breakfast which was more than adequate for the start of the day. Overall, we were very pleased with everything about the arrangements of this hotel and restaurant and we would return there again without question should the need arise to seek accommodation in the Gloucester area.

Had an amazing stay, was wowed when we walked in to the corridor it smelt fresh and was very clean. We stay in a premier plus room and it was perfect couldn't fault one thing. We previously stayed in Birmingham new street premier plus room and was very disappointed! But this stay at Gloucester was amazing I didn't want to leave!

The hotel is located well, close to the quays. It was very clean and comfortable with friendly staff. The beefeater across the car park is where breakfast is served and we found it very good. There was nothing to fault so would stay again

We booked a Premier Plus room as a treat. The Reception staff put balloons in the room for my Daughter (who loved the surprise as we entered our room) and a lovely 'Happy Birthday' handwritten note from the staff. We loved the room itself - being on the top floor was the best, as nobody was above us. I wondered if the rooms were soundproofed, as it's the 1st Premier Inn stay that we haven't heard the 'neighbours' or the loud fans! The downside - upon entering our room, we could smell cigarette smoke. We complained to Reception and the lady came with us to inspect 'the smell'. We thought it was coming from the bathroom fan, which unfortunately wasn't working. We were offered a different room (a standard room) which we didn't want to downgrade to, so we just left the bathroom door closed and used the Aircon. We were offered a free breakfast, which was lovely. All-in-all, it was a pleasant stay and the staff were very helpful and lovely. Just be careful with parking - there's limited spaces and it's easy to park in the Costa parking spaces by mistake. (And remember to register your car registration details at Reception). We walked to the Gloucester Quays shopping area (a 2 minute walk, if that) you can walk by the side of Costa and the multi storey carpark or can walk through the main Gloucester Quays entrance doors.
