on the way to Devon to break up the drive. Reached the hotel and it had closed down. No email, phone call. It looks rancid and not had a clean since 1970 anyway so dodged a bullet. Doing a chargeback and claiming off my travel insurance.

Wow, not sure what type of business this is but they will certainly not be getting our custom. Over 3 weeks ago we went onto their website to book accommodation but needed to obtain a quote. We clicked the required button and requested prices and availability for a couple of blocks of dates. These were in the region of 3 or 4 nights so would have thought this was worth them at least sending us a response to say if they were interested or totally booked. Sadly, despite 3 chasers we have not had any response, even an automated acknowledgement. Needless to say we have now booked somewhere else nearby. Very poor service. It's sad to have to give such a bad review after what the hospitality industry has been through but unfortunately feel there's no choice but to let people know.
