Afan Lodge

Very unhappy with my experience. Went with ASD school, where there is special needs and dietary requirements. We planned on buying drinks, but needed to take our own lunch. The manager was very disrespectful with how he talked about the ASD children. We use this place alot for school trips and spend alot of money here. However today was a very disrespectful experience. Although this was a bad experience the waiter was very respectful and friendly.

Went for lunch in the restaurant after having so many recommendations to try it, beautiful surroundings but so disappointed with the food and service. We waited 1 1/2hours for our meals, our table was booked for 2 hours 1 - 3 pm (they closed at 3 ) we couldn’t have dessert or coffee as they were closing at 3 o clock. Lots of mistakes with the order, medium steak was black around the edges and very well done, asked for no onions in the burger, this was rectified by them taking it away removing the onions and giving the same burger back which had the taste of onions right through it !! Not a very good experience, I’m really annoyed with myself that we paid the bill without expressing our concerns before we left

Beautiful setting in the wrong area. Bar staff lovely. Only third time in there and never again. What an experience, no bouncers on for a match day and a big function going on. So if your planning to go there don’t be surprise you need to act as a bouncer too. Head manager attitude is very bad, who broke gdpr when speaking to me after the eventful evening.

We frequently come here for food, and it never fails on the standard and quantity every time. We came for the Chinese New Year Buffet, and it was 5 stars again, lots to eat, and lots of choices. Love the choices of local beers and gins. Friendly staff and a relaxing a**osphere. Looking g forward to the next time 👍

Stayed at Afan lodge for work and what a place it was. Food was tremendous very much value for money, price for drinks was really good also. The room had a lovely view of the mountain side, very clean and also good value for money if anything it is under priced for how nice the room was. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible, really friendly and great customer service. Would definitely recommend and I hope I’m back down there for work cause I’d book again within a heart beat. Thank you Afan lodge!!

Great place to stay. Ideal location for the trails both north and south. Lovely friendly staff, can’t do enough for you. All topped off with a great meal. Rooms good size, wet room bit of a challenge to keep the water from spreading. Stayed several times now and look forward to coming back. Than you.

This place is a hidden gem in the the Afan valley and is certainly not recognised enough, we had the most top quality lunch served by the best! The food here is delicious and the Sunday lunches are so tasty. Would definitely recommend and can honestly say that it comes in on top of one of the best hotel/restaurants in south Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

After spending some time on the rookie trails with my wife and her mate to get used to their ebikes we decided to stop at the Afan Lodge for lunch and it turned out to be a great decision. 4 of us eating which included 2 non meat eaters and we were all very satisfied with the food prepared for us. It was all well presented and very tasty indeed, everyone was really impressed. We took advantage of the set 2 course menu £14.95 each with a good choice tbf. Special mention about the cauliflower and Stilton soup which was superb, I will call back just for that! We will definitely return here again for food when in the area as we were impressed with everything including friendly and efficient service from the staff. Please include your weekly set menu on your Facebook page as that would better inform us and others thinking of eating here. Rooms in the bar, cosy corner and restaurant were great and suitable for fairly clean bikers, it wouldn’t be fair to go in there with muddy clothes I don’t think, although the bar area is a bit more ‘wipe clean’ if you get my drift. Highly recommend this place, see you again no doubt.

Great place,bit noisy by the road which is a shame.bar and staff are lovely.and both our bikes locked up securely.a little ****** was £3.50 for a coke.and the breakfast was a bit tasteless other than oil.even the beans unfortunately .have been a few times now ,but the food needs to improve,sorry to say.just honest.
