Lunch was not nice. Cheese not melted, mushrooms not cooked. It was only a panini but uncooked mushrooms, Really. But was told thats how they done the dish there. Chips tasted like yesterday’s. Cant have a afternoon tea outside on the tables( wind would make sandwiches and cakes go hard) But jacket potato was ok

We had an amazing five night stay as B &B guests. Nothing was too much trouble for Debbie and her team. There was a good choice for breakfast, which had the selection on the Double-Gate app. Debbie emailed detailed information on how to find the farm and how to download the app. We had a lovely twin bed room with the use of a comfortable lounge with television, there was also a television in the bedroom Both rooms were clean and comfortable. There was large bathroom ensuite, which also catered for a person with disabilities. The refreshments were replenished daily with clean mugs . We stayed in the Swallow Barn. If the weather had been warmer it would have been possible to sit the garden. There are laundry facilities available as well for guests.

We had a luxury take away afternoon tea from the cafe for an early mother's day treat. The portions were prefect, food fresh and delicious and service professional, helpful and friendly. Couldn't fault it and would recommend to anyone. Thank you for a lovely treat, we'll be back 🤗

We decided to have a short break away from home we looked at several hotels and B+B's in the somerset area . We was so pleased we picked The Double Gate Farm as it was amazing ! Debbie and her Dad very welcoming , Thr cup of coffee and slice of cake gratefully received on our arrival as we had travellled down from the East Midlands . Our room like the rest of Double Gate Farm B+B spotlessly clean . The breakfast every morning was just fantastic with plenty of choice in fact so much you probably wont need lunch because of breakfast . Admittedly Double Gate Farm is off the beaten track .but you go here i guarantee you wont be disappointed, a Really nice place to stay with very nice people

My husband and myself had lunch at The Double Gate Cafe today, lovely setting very friendly attentive staff and everywhere lovely and clean . We perused the specials board and opted for the fish chips and mushy peas, we waited about 20 minutes which is perfectly acceptable and our lunch was presented on nice hot plates , it was however very disappointing, the chips were clearly pre frozen and the fish was also of the frozen variety tasteless mushy preformed fish in thick cake like batter , you would think of it was on a specials board it would have been fresh hand battered fish and home fried chips.

What a great find! Hidden along one of the country lanes is DoubleGate Farm B&B run by Debbie with the help of hubbie and Dad Terry, lovely family run business. Very friendly and efficient. We only stayed 2 nights, but perfect from start to finish. Great touch of homemade cake on arrival ( they also have a tea room on site) We stayed in the four poster bedroom in farmhouse, massive room with massive ensuite. Breakfast was excellent and cooked fresh to order. Debbie was very helpful with local knowledge, gave us a discount voucher fir The Budhops Palace in Wells and recommended a fantastic place ( actually next door!) fir us to eat. Great experience all round 👍 🤩

We stayed in Room 1 in the farmhouse for 5 nights, and had a wonderful stay. Room is large, great bathroom and very quiet. Breakfast choice was excellent, and my husband's dietary needs were met with no problem. Though a little off the beaten track we would recommend it to anyone looking for a great holiday. Thank you Debbie, Steve and team for looking after us so well.

So sad, a nice enough setting but staff and owners who have no clue about running a business. Pre booked a table for lunch for 9, 5 adults and 4 kids, asked when booking if we could eat off the lunch menu, yes was the answer. Arrived bang on time, sat down and ordered drinks, two tables of two outside and nobody else. Drinks arrived, they took the food order , we asked if they were doing the all day breakfast, " of course we are" six sandwiches and two breakfasts and some chips. Half an hour went by, nothing appeared. An hour went by still nothing, after 95 minutes the food started appearing, that took 15 minutes to serve and by the time the last sandwich got to us the first eaters had finished. They forgot the toast with the breakfast, forgot the orange juice with the breakfast and then when we eventually got the bill thy tried to charge for those and two extra teas and coffee that were part of the breakfast price. How it takes 95 mi9nutes to serve two breakfasts, chips and s sandwiches remains a mystery. At no time was there anybody saying there will be a delay, no apology for keeping us waiting, the staff just ran around in ever decreasing circles. When we paid and asked why everything took so long we were met with animosity which just made thigs worse. “ we did our best” Best is clearly just about a mark of 1/10. On arrival we were told how business was so slow and the holiday lets were empty, if this is how they treat customers that’s not a surprise. The moral of the story, if you can’t do it properly don’t do it at all, letting amateurs loose in the hospitality and catering business simply doesn’t work. Get your act together or just close it till you find some management and staff capable of delivering some kind of customer service, until they do and AVOID this place is my strong recommendation.
