If you want off the beaten track and local guest house experience you cannot beat this place ! Jordy and his team are a great combination of friendless and so helpful in day to day planning from Kayaking to taking a speed boat out they were really good . The food is simple and local and I had the best fresh fish for dinner one evening which was a real pleasure . Breakfast is simple do try hedika in the local cafe during the afternoon or buy some snacks in the local grocery store ! The walk to the beach is quite long take a bike or get a lift 🤣 . My room was great had everything I wanted although missed a fridge but got by ! I would highly recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a local island in the Maldives ! Thank you for a lovely stay

A great hotel in a good location. A few steps to a beautiful beach. Very friendly staff who did everything to make our vacation perfect. The transportation to bikini beach was a great thing. Really good breakfast. The room is spacious and in good condition. Efficient air conditioning and a large safety box. Free water. The hotel has a large roof terrace where you can see wonderful sunsets. The peaceful location on the edge of the village guaranteed a good night's sleep. The snorkeling trip was good, we saw manta rays, turtles, dolphins, eagle rays and lots of fish. You should definitely try fishing! These guys are professionals! Thank you Olive Goidhoo for a wonderful holiday! We come back!

Stayed 4 nights and 5 days in Olive. What a wonderful time we had in Goidhoo and in Olive. We did snorkeling trips and island hopping and all our requests were personally handled by the owner of Olive Jordy  He was very accommodating and always guided us to the best options.  Day-to-day operations were handle by very lovely ladies who always helped us with a smile.  Olive have bicycles for rent which came as a blessing to discover Goidhoo. What a lovely island it was. If you go, discover Goidhoo and the close by islands. Every island has its beauty. Olive is situated in a such a place that you have enough privacy and a beach infront.  Sometimes we were picked up and dropped off for excursions,  right in front of the hotel beach which was more than our expectation.  I would give Olive Goidhoo a 5 star rating for the reasons: 1.  Our adventurous day ended in comfort of Olive rooms which done tastefully and comfortably. 2. Very clean 3. Extremely helpful 4. Food was good 5. Management and staff are nice and helpful 6. All things we wanted to was arranged easily.  7. We had our privacy and space. 8. People of Goidhoo are nice. They leave you alone but if you talk to them, they will talk back with a smile. Overall, one of the best island experiences from  all my island trips. Kind of place/island I will go back ( many times ) Cheers

Warning - very long review!! The people - The best thing about Olive is Jordy - an infinitely patient and empathetic person whose passion is to make your stay memorable. He’s also a one-man army!! A gem of a person, who you can depend on completely if you need help. I certainly did. With unravelling COVID situation around the world, I got stuck due to a cancelled incremental reservation at another place. Jordy ensured I was not stranded. This spirit of helping is commendable and perhaps the best thing about this boutique property. The room - We got a room large enough for a family of 3 adults not to feel cooped up. This, I believe, is also the best room of Olive. It oversees the private beach and the ocean. The left side oversees the farmland and the forest beyond. There is a small balcony that runs across the two sides of the room and is cozy enough to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with the breathtaking view of the ocean. Cleanliness at arrival is exceptional. The bed is super comfortable, firm and very big - just the way I like! No TV and no phone (you should not miss this). No refrigerator and no iron in room (you may miss. I missed the iron a lot). Hair dryer could be better - not well suited for length of women's hair. The air conditioner worked very well and it needs to, given the Maldivian weather! The bath area is also extremely clean - a window allows for the bathroom to be refreshed easily. To summarize, room infrastructure is very high quality. Perhaps the closet can have another rack to create a bit more space to keep things over...was challenging for the rather long stay we had. The service and amenities - Deep cleaning of room happened only once every few days and we had to remind for doing that (so you keep the same towels, bedsheets are not changed and bathroom is not cleaned). Linen is not changed until asked for! Since, we were all adults, it did not cause too much of a bother. You are expected to clean the cups in the room for your stay. These are not refreshed. One litre water per person is in the room and can be refilled at cost to you. Limitless drinking water available during meals (eventually I figured this is a rarity in Maldives). If you use sugar free products carry your own. I had my own Splenda, so didn't have a problem. Also, no toiletries are provided. We had to go buy some!! Fortunately I had carried enough as I use sulphate free products. Not making these things available is fine but the customer needs to know ahead of time, so they come prepared. Since Goidhoo is a small place, the small shop offering products may not have the brands, you normally use. My advice is to take all the stuff that you routinely use with you. Laundry is at cost. Having a laundromat may help long stay people. The internet - Since, I was not on a holiday it was tough to get my work done on days when it was cloudy. On most days it worked but never seamlessly (I am talking video calls). The hotel wifi did not reach most of the room b

Hello everyone, we would never recommend this guest house to anyone, it sucks. It qualifies itself as a 3* hotel, but in fact it is a guest house, without any responsibility for guests. How could we fall for reviews!? All reviews are not true. My wife and I returned from a tour a week ago, the Olive Goidhoo hotel, the tour was completely ruined, the hotel did not correspond to 3*, it was the most ordinary guest house for the local population. Everything is in order: Transfer: we arrived on time, but we had to wait for the transfer for a very long time, as much as five and a half hours. So we waited for our transfer and the driver drove so hard through the waves that many felt ill and we were given bags in case of vomiting, believe me, everyone took advantage of these bags. On the way back to the airport, it was a total hassle, we were put on a public transfer early in the morning at 7 o’clock for the local population - who were going to Male to work, and before we got to the airport at the point where passengers were dropped off - and we were asked to get out, they took up our suitcases were about to be thrown overboard, I forcibly restrained him and demanded to be taken to the airport, and only after some time of our argument, he called someone and our issue was resolved, we were taken to the airport. I had to fight. Check-in: upon arrival, we were received at a small “reception” type counter by the hotel owner, wearing shorts without any decent appearance, and gave us a room; we immediately felt that we were not welcome. The room is very small and without any special amenities. In the shower the walls were simply plastered, they didn’t provide shower accessories, neither soap nor toilet paper, they asked for 1 dollar for soap, they gave me some kind of shower gel for children, which is impossible to wash with. It's a good idea to take your toothbrushes. Food: we had two meals a day, there was no sugar for breakfast, juice was brought at the bottom of a carafe, we ate tea, we begged for it and waited for half an hour each time, there was nothing to eat for breakfast. For lunch, 2 steam tables were half empty, with only a little boiled dough or vegetables. One plate of fruit, the first few days we didn’t have time, really a plate, whoever got to the plate first got half of the fruit for himself, the rest were left without fruit. We have lost weight these days. Room cleaning: we had a tour for 8 nights, during the whole time we only had our linens and towels changed on the 5th day. There was never any cleaning. Beach: the beach is swampy, algae everywhere, dirty, no sign of a blue lagoon, it was impossible to swim there. There was another beach a kilometer away from us, it was difficult to walk in the heat. What to do in the Maldives, just swim and sunbathe on sun loungers, and you can’t even dream of something like that in this hotel. The owner of the hotel was very rude and did not cooperate with any questions. There were only 3 working staff, a cook, a cleaner and a waitress. In general, draw conclusions, I wasted my vacation. I am a tourist with 10 years of experience and have something to compare with.

This was an amazing place to stay! A lovely location, great service and great food. We stayed for 2 weeks at olive, our room had great AC, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner in our package and it did not disappoint, the food was always fresh and different! Vipen, Jordy and the Chef were amazing attributes to such a lovely place. In the 2 weeks we did snorkelling with mantarays, turtles, sharks and a boat trip with dolphins! There is a local boat that can take you to the other islands which is a great way to spend a day as the beaches are gorgeous on Fehuldhoo! We did have some mould in our room just as a side note about one thing we would change, but bar that it was great, thank you so much for the stay! A speed boat will pick you up from the airport at $45 a head and it’s about an hour and half trip! Due to the maldieves being a Muslim country alcohol is not permitted- just so you’re aware There is one designated bikini beach for tourists, make sure if you swim at any of the other beaches you are covered as it is not permitted otherwise! The Wi-Fi connection was temperamental so make sure you get a good data package at the airport in a sim- ours was $50 for 50gb and that will last you.

Excellent experience during our Honeymoon!!! the host and his staff are professional, very kind and available at any time for any request: they accomplish us in everything! The boss organized for us a room, with flowers fruite and bottle to celebrate our honeymoon, with great style and romanticism!!!! The guesthouse is very nice and clean, food is clearly typical, the best we had in all Maldives, and it has also a private beach from where you can start your breathtaking excursions. Indeed, they know their atoll so well that the excursions were perfect, safe and astonished: we saw everything. They also managed to get PCR Test in loco and getting results the day after, without any delay. At the end they organized for us a private dinner on their private beach sunset. One of the best experience of our life, the best like couple! We lived a dream there, so thank you for everything!!
