SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Gold Beach

A comfortable place but they need to have ice machines on every floor not just the 3rd floor! Too many stairs!

Charming seaside location, a little dated, but still very affordable and well maintained. Stayed on the first floor, room was big and short walk to the beach with deck and water view. Comfortable bed, nice pool & hot tub. Friendly staff. Only compliant is more space is needed in the inside breakfast area. Guests had to wait for inside seating.

The room was run down (a lot of deferred maintenance needs to be done)

Shower Faucet was not switching properly preventing us (2 kids) to have warm baths

We arrived at the property on Christmas eve paying a premium for our jetted tub. To our surprise upon arrival, we were informed that the jetted tubs do not work. The sole purpose of doing a long trip was to enjoy the view with the jetted tub. With no other option left, we had to move forward with staying at the property without the amenities provided at the full price. If the facilities mentioned are not available then do not display them on your website and misguide someone’s expectations. Wifi is extremely poor and connectivity is poor.

Very tired room. We stayed the day after Christmas so not many guests. Quiet. Curtains in the room will let in plenty of light in the morning. You’ll be getting up with the chickens in the summer.

Bottom floor had no view fr the room, unless you stood at the desk against the wall or out in the cold balcony, I’ll fitting curtains that hung on the heater that seemed to be a fire hazard and a lot of dead, large flies in hallway. No gym and no allowances for upgrading rooms, even when they had a lot of vacancies, due to booking through ***********. Yes, we did offer to PAY the difference, and were told it was not possible. Being avid, work travelers- we know this is BS bc we get upgraded for free all the time and we’ve never been denied an upgrade when we’ve offered to pay the difference and there is availability. Pool heating was not repaired when we were there. We left a day early bc we were not excited to be told they thought we were offering “bribes” after offering to PAY the difference for a room w a view and that didn’t require stairs. This was after I let her know, factually, that I would obviously be reviewing the hotel and that this would weigh in heavily. Our little son was in pain fr CP and a plaster cast on his leg bc we had stayed 3 out of our 4 night reservation, and the amount of stairs was weighing on him. We never stayed here before and thought we were booking a bottom floor room, meaning no stairs. We had prepaid and knew she wouldn’t give us a refund, but by then I realized we couldn’t reason w on property staff. We contacted both *********** and their corporate office to file a complaint and we’re adequately compensated. Would not stay here again or recommend.

Good stay with our 2 dogs. Great deck with ocean views from 1st floor. Easy beach access. Very large rooms. Some tiles in room(101- pet friendly room) are broken. Furniture has some stains and lots of animal hair on them from previous guests, but we always travel with flat sheets just in case we feel the need to cover furniture.

Loud people breakfast just ****** pool is 5 ft deep good for kids bad for adults top it off wanted to leave a day early due too hotel issues they wouldn’t cancel the day I didn’t stay i just left early anyways to a different hotel that wasn’t annoying loud and rude
