We booked a vacation at this hotel for June 2024 based on the reviews. Upon arrival, no one met us with the transfer, so we had to walk about 500 meters with our luggage to the hotel, assuming you can find the way. There was a long line at the reception desk, and only one staff member was checking in over 15 people in line. During check-in, we were informed that the next day we would have to pay an additional 20+ € tax per room for a seven-day stay. The room was quite comfortable but very small, with a limited number of sockets. The bathroom had only liquid soap and two towels, which were very worn out. Cleaning was at a very poor level, and there was a constant sewage smell in the room. But the worst part was the service and the food. The food was monotonous, tasteless, and got worse every day: cold, overcooked, rubbery, and under-seasoned. The bar didn’t help either, as the selection was very limited: water, beer, wine, and a few types of local spirits. For non-alcoholic drinks, only water from dispensers in the restaurant, mineral water at the bar, and three types of artificial juices were available. These juices tasted even worse than they looked. There was one coffee machine for the entire hotel, which constantly had long lines, and the coffee tasted more like chicory. For fruits, the first few days we had only apples and oranges, later occasionally cherries and watermelon appeared. Breakfasts included four types of unsavory scrambled eggs, horrible sausages, and cereals. Lunches were a couple of types of pasta, soups, and rice. The meat and fish were horribly prepared, and the salads seemed to be leftovers from the previous day. Dinners were almost the same as lunches, just without soups. In the All-Inclusive restaurant, the staff behaved inappropriately, approaching girls with personal conversations. After politely asking them to respect personal space, stalking and then ignoring began. The staff liked to lecture the guests, including bartenders, receptionists, and cleaners. It felt like you were not a hotel guest but a child in a summer camp with unpleasant counselors. Bringing food and drinks to the rooms is prohibited, with fines ranging from 50 to 100 €. At the beach bar, everything is for an additional fee. To drink water on the beach, you have to get dressed and go back to the hotel. Moreover, the hotel infrastructure leaves much to be desired. The pool is very small and located in the dining area. Poolside spots are sold to guests from outside the hotel. Internet is also poor - Wi-Fiwith a good connection is available only in the lobby. If you plan to work or stay connected, this will be a problem. Overall, our stay at the Gloria Palace Hotel was very disappointing, and we do not recommend it for a visit.

Upon arrival, there was no one to meet us for the transfer, forcing us to walk about 500 meters with our luggage to the hotel. Finding the way wasn't easy either. The bathroom only had liquid soap and two very worn-out towels. The cleaning quality was poor, and there was a constant sewage smell in the room. Additionally, we had a problem with the door. If the door was not firmly closed, it emitted an annoying sound, warning us that it was not properly shut. Initially, we managed to close it after three or four attempts. However, the situation worsened, and on the penultimate day, the door would not close at all. A receptionist who was walking around noticed our struggle and helped us. Later, the same issue recurred, and a cleaner noticed and finally called a technician who "fixed" it. Yet, by the evening, the door still wouldn't close. I went back to the reception to report this again. They were surprised, saying, "Again? But we repaired it today." They apologized and promised someone would come to fix it. We waited, and as time passed, the situation became increasingly frustrating. To avoid the noise, we propped the door open with a slipper. We called the reception again, and initially, no one answered. After a second call, they were very surprised that no one had come yet. Eventually, a technician arrived and demonstrated that we needed to press harder to close the door. He also mentioned that the person who could properly fix the door was in Tirana and would only be back the next day. The service and food were the worst aspects of our stay. The food was monotonous, tasteless, and got progressively worse each day: cold, overcooked, rubbery, and under-seasoned. The staff want to check everyday usage of the minibar. It's really annoying, when you do not use minibar, and you cannot rest, they are disrupting your free time. It doesn't seem like the All inclusive hotel at all. Food is repetitive, sometimes it's really difficult to choose something tasty. Poor All inclusive - no wine at a beach bar.

The Gloria Palace was actually just an alternative accommodation. But it was more than that. Rooms: absolutely clean and functional. Service: very good. Dinner: plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately, wine from Albania was only available in bottles and not by the glass, so I opted for an Italian restaurant. Breakfast: we had to wait a relatively long time, but the quality was very good. The fruit selection could have been bigger. The weather was catastrophic, but that is not the hotel's fault. Overall: recommended.

Food is Cold and poor. Cannot understand why all food is cold. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eggs, meat and french fries -everything cold. Don’t buy all-inclusive! There is a lack of kitchen and service education here!

High standard of the hotel, spacious and nice rooms, we had a great side view of the sea towards Durres from the 6th floor. Nice and helpful staff at the reception, efficient collection of dishes during meals and serving drinks at the bar, cleanliness in the hotel and in the room - daily cleaning, replacement of room and beach towels, clear information in the hotel about the rules - paid minibar, practical meal times , no crowds during meals, wi-fi works great, the coverage was also on the beach - a big plus. The hotel is a bit out of the way, it is quiet, but to get to the center you need a taxi, there is a pleasant, although short promenade for a walk along the sea. To be improved: cleanliness of the surroundings outside the hotel. Sandy beach, no footwear needed, there were no problems with finding a place on the beach, the practice is to hang a sign with the room number on the beach umbrella, sometimes you can come across organic elements, e.g. grass, sea grass, sticks, etc., a shower after leaving the water is available, I didn't see any jellyfish. Swimming pool next to the facility - you can swim freely, - just a little more space around the sun loungers would be nice. Tasty and plentiful food, frequently replenished, breakfast, lunch and dinner a large selection, also seafood, everyone will find something for themselves, coffee available all the time from coffee machines and water from dispensers or sparkling water available in the bar, there was no need to use a kettle in the room , alcoholic drinks in the bar but made from local ingredients, beer, water, or juices from the dispenser are also available at the beach, too many plastic cups in use for me. To sum up: I recommend it and thank you for a great stay.

As for the hotel itself - visually 10/10. Clean, modern. The service, despite the opinions I had previously seen, was nice and helpful. You just need to know English and you will be able to handle any matter without any problems. Tipping staff will probably also help establish a closer customer-service relationship. Food - breakfasts; quite monotonous, it's the same every day, but that's how it is in hotels, it's hard to diversify the breakfasts, which are already full to the brim. Good and fresh bread. The quality of fruit and vegetables at the highest level. Dinners, lunches and snacks - hmm, repetitive, most dishes using leftovers from the previous day, changed additions and sauces and voila - we have a new dish ;) The immediate area of the hotel - several bars, swimming pools, some roadside shops and ice cream stands. Quite boring, without optional excursions you can be bored for a week. The water is dirty but warm, whatever you like. I didn't notice any jellyfish, but there was a lot of talk about them in the hotel's reviews. The swimming pool and gym, well, leave much to be desired. The swimming pool outside - small, sun loungers next to each other, quite uncomfortable crowding, towels have been lying around since the morning and are reserved for a place, which in the end no one shows up. The swimming pool inside was mostly closed and the water was cold. The gym is in disarray, small and impractical. The overall rating of the facility and its surroundings is a strong 6.5/10. The price is a bit too high considering the standard of meals and the hotel environment.

We have just returned from a stay in Albania. A country that my wife and I did not know. The Gloria Palace hotel located at the extreme south of the Golem promenade. Qerret beach is well located and is not yet saturated with hotels. There is a lot of construction going on. In the end it will be very pretty, but there is still a lot of work. The hotel is new so not much to complain about, it is of a human size (100 rooms) Our stay was divided into two parts. The first where the hotel was practically full with around 80% Polish. The second where it emptied and there were only about fifteen of us all in. The buffet for the first phase was of honest quality, nothing more. the dishes changed every day. Simple but good cuisine. The second part we were served at tables because they had closed the morning, midday and evening buffets. The service is provided mainly by young people, there is no supervision. Young people work properly but would need support. The bar is suitable with local alcohol all in. The swimming pool is very good, the beach just a stone's throw away. The only downside for this hotel is that it is relatively far from Golem and Duress. It's a country to discover, they're embarking on mass tourism, they still have work to do to be at the top.
