Historical Goreme House

We had booked a different hotel, but after getting there, we decided to change due to the hygiene conditions being appalling, and we booked a room at historical Göreme house last minute, and I must tell you, best decision ever. The room was absolutely incredible, we chose a cave room with a private pool, sauna and jacuzzi, and it completely blew our expectations out of the water. Super clean, extremely good location in Göreme, the breakfast was delicious, (the lady that made it made some fried puff pastries that almost made me cry) and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. This place literally saved the last part of my honeymoon, and for that, I will always be grateful!

The highlights are definitely the amenities and the location. Everything you need is nearby, restaurants, grocery stores, ATMs, and even a bus terminal, making it very convenient for travelers. The breakfast was also good, with a decent variety of options. However, as someone who prefers having rice with every meal, I found the selection a bit limited in that aspect. There were a few downsides worth mentioning. The toilet flush in my room seemed to be faulty as it kept running continuously. Also, one night I suspect that someone may have entered my room since I accidentally left the door unlocked, and I noticed a valuable item was missing. I reported this to the receptionist and requested a CCTV check, but as of writing this review, I haven’t received any update. Despite these issues, my overall experience was still positive. The staff were generally accommodating, and the location really makes a big difference. For future guests, I’d recommend always double-checking that your door is locked for added security.

Worst experience ever

We’ve received very warm welcome and got a map of the sights at the reception. The family suit is spacious and comfortable. It was very warm in winter time too. The breakfast is traditional with a fantastic view over the mountains.
