Tres Boutique Hotel

Sinds kort bestaat Tres Boutique Hotel onder deze naam. Het is echter amper een hotel te noemen. We hebben er 3 nachten overnacht. Geen ontbijt, geen receptie, geen housekeeping. Alle zaken die een hotel een hotel maakt ontbreken. Het is een B&B zonder de B. Pluspunt was de schitterende kamer. Al vonden we het bad naast het bed wel een beetje vreemd.

What a setback! There is no mention of a key box in the email, so I wasn't looking for that. I wanted to open the front door. That didn't work. Meanwhile I was approached by a couple on the street who told me about their bad experience with this hotel. "Never again," said the man. That bodes well… After a phone call to the hotel and the cheerful voice of an overbearing man who pointed out to me that there is a sign saying that you have to call for the key, I can finally enter. To sum up the first impressions: the brasserie and cozy bar, which the site shows off, are closed (Sunday, beautiful weather), the TV is defective (pink post-it that has clearly been on it for some time), the room is gloomy and it smells musty. The towels are hard and washed out. A mini stroopwafel and the possibility to make tea. In the hallway 2 ladies complain that they have been waiting an hour and a half for someone to make sure they can enter the room. They had to call 3x… They would have liked to have a bite to eat, but that has to be done after 7.30 pm, because the receptionist on duty just lets them wait. And then you can only sit on the stairs, because there is nothing else. The view is…not there. The adjacent building is under construction and a man with a pipe is going to do some odd jobs on Sunday evening… 3 meters from my window. So just close the windows. It has been 28-30 degrees all week, but the hotel has no air conditioning and no fans. It's stuffy. Now another plus: the bed and the pillows are fine, so I will sleep pretty well here. Still, I want to complain. The site contains the following sentences: It is a small-scale hotel where personal attention is of paramount importance. The ten rooms in our hotel are comfortably furnished in beautiful, calm colours. We have seven standard rooms that are equipped with an adjustable bed, shower, toilet and flat screen television with cable TV. The most beautiful hotel in Gorinchem. Both the hotel experience and the brasserie are inspired by major cities such as London, New York and Hong Kong. I do want to respond to that… I missed 'personal attention', 'comfortably furnished (fairly standard)' and 'flat screen TV', and of the facilities that people are so proud of, 'concierge', 'restaurant' and ' bar. The last sentences are probably meant as a joke… For this overnight stay I paid as much as for a luxury stay including extensive breakfast in a vd Valk, a few weeks ago. Where that hotel surprised me positively, I must unfortunately note here that the surprise is negative. My advice: keep looking.

Weekend with 8 friends in hotel LeBonApart. 1st Sunday breakfast due to a lack of staff in terms of service, busy, chaotic. 2nd breakfast the next day there were suddenly 3 in service while there were minimal occupancy of rooms on Monday. No elevator, steep, narrow stairs with only a handrail on one side. Rooms not cleaned properly, lots of dust. Small rooms, good beds, shower without a door or curtain so the floor quickly gets wet outside the shower area. If items are forgotten, no feedback after asking for telephone consultation to pass it on by email. So you have to buy new cables. We won't be back, unfortunately.
