Popular Gosforth 4-star Hotels

This was our first visit to this beautifully situated boutique B&B but it won't be the last for sure. We stayed for 3 nights in the Cairn room; a beautifully appointed room with luxurious bathroom, garden area with views towards Wasdale Head and Scafell Pike, and a few steps to the enclosed hot tub with the same superb view. Faith and her team deliver an attentive but unobtrusive service; breakfasts are freshly cooked with a varied choice in addition to home made granola, fruit compote, homemade bread - delicious! The glorious weather was the icing on the cake to our wonderful stay (there's also homemade cake in the afternoon !) - highly recommend.

The staff were absolutely amazing and accommodated my ever changing work schedule without fuss( deep thank you for that too) The premises was flawlessly clean, bedrooms too. Bed was the comfiest I’ve slept in. During this past 5 wks I’ve worked from London to Leicester in numerous travel lodges. And let me tell you the service I received from Ruth and her staff at the Globe Inn Hotel put them all to shame hands down. Would highly recommend this place if you’re travelling throughout the lakes even if it’s just a one night stay. Can’t thank you enough.

After climbing the scafell pike, we went straight to this hotel. The staffs were really kind especially to the old man. You can really see the passion in his work . The hotel was amazing because it’s clean and well maintained. They also have a restaurant so you don’t have to go outside to look for a food which is really inconvenient idea for those who are tired from climbing. I guess we tried to book for an uber eats, deliveroo etc but they don’t have it in that area. The food was great and they have a free breakfast as well.
