We arrived at Mauricia to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. We were greeted by Krishna who checked us in & gave us all the information regarding the hotel. We stayed in one of the hotels villas which was beautiful & made up with flowers & Prosecco for our arrival. Although we were early we were able to go straight to the villa which was amazing after such a long trip. Dev in reception helped us with organising trips & providing us with any information we needed. Mr Bolah the duty manager greeted us every day, & made sure we were happy with everything. The hotel had one main restaurant & one al la carte Le Nautic. The food was great with lots of variety. I’m a celiac but this wasn’t a problem, I spoke to one of the chefs Vikash who helped me & provided me with gluten free pancakes & bread at breakfast. All the waiting staff were excellent but a special mention to Bacchus, & Thomas who took extra special care of us. We ate in the Le nautic on a few occasions one being for my husbands birthday. Ally, Najib & Satyam pulled out all the stops to make it an extra special night. These three guys are truly a credit to the hotel, they would make our table nice for us at meal times by adding flowers to the table & having drinks already prepared & at the table waiting for us. The Bay watch bar is open from 09.00-23.00 for drinks, baguettes & in the afternoons pancakes. Special mention to Vijay & Laurenza who were always smiling & nothing was to much trouble. My husband & I attempted water skiing & went on a pedlo at the beach. Pedro & his team assisted us with this. Entertainment team were great, I really enjoyed the aqua aerobics with Jayson & Chris.
