El hotel es excelente, en todo sentido. Ya cuando llegamos, nos encontramos con un hermoso jardín y la entrada. La recepción del hotel divina también. Apenas en el mostrador, la atención excelente, como toda la estadía, muy servicial, atenta… todo el staff, impecable. La habitación muy cómoda, amplia, cocina completa, mesa con sillas, balcón con vista al mar… vimos tres veces el atardecer desde la habitación. A la llegada, de cortesía, recibimos cerveza, gaseosa y aguas en la heladera. Si bien el hotel no está sobre la playa ni en el centro, para nosotros no fue necesario ir en el auto, debe estar a cuatro cuadras de la calle con todos los restaurantes y por lo tanto de la playa. El desayuno nos resultó muy bueno, te piden de panadería que deseamos, al segundo día tuvimos que pedir menos porque era una exageración de la cantidad…. El hotel cuenta con estacionamiento gratuito. Totalmente recomendable, si alguna vez volvemos a St Martin, seguramente volveremos!

Excellent hotel, just beautiful and great location! Planning on returning next year! Very clean and quiet, relaxing trip with family with small children. Walking distance 10 to 15 mins to beach and local eateries. Great if you prefer small, boutique hotels

The stay in this hotel made our vacation an unforgettable experience. The hotel complex is very well maintained, the staff extremely courteous, the rooms spacious and very attractive. The pool and gardens invite you to linger! Not to forget the excellent breakfast.

My husband and I stayed at the sister hotel, Le Petite Hotel, before our now 15 year old was born. We always planned to go back to Grand Case and stay at L'Esplanade. We finally made held true to that plan and it was everything we had hoped. Wonderfully comfortable accommodations, great hospitality, a slow-paced comfortable vibe with beautiful sunsets - this place has it all for those looking to get away for a few days. Afternoons spent at the pool connecting with fellow guests, a convenient walk down to the beach and the famous lolos for lunch, and a quiet walk to the main ***** for amazing food each evening make L'Esplanade a special place to visit. Hope to make this our spot for an annual get away.

L'Esplanade never fails. Kristin and staff provide everything a couple needs for maximum relaxin'. Sixteen years running, there's no other place we'll ever stay in the Caribbean. We're even thinking of sharing the secret with friends now... maybe. TIPS: Ask the front desk to make your dinner reservations in Grand Case - they've got pull. Take the airport pickup and have your car rental ready at the hotel. Swim in the evening when the sun is down (though the bar is closed). Take half the clothes you're thinking of packing (they air-dry well). Fill your room fridge with L'Express and Bacchus (but beware the croissant-stealing doves). Explore off the beaten path, like Happy Bay. (Skip the Dutch side.)

This was one of my favorite hotels in the world! Everything was perfect - the owners, the staff, the property, the room, the bed, and the views! It was also convenient for walking to nearby restaurants and bars. They also provide a shuttle into town at night if you are not into walking. We have already made reservations for next year!

Wonderful hotel and visit to Saint Martin. This was our first trip to Saint Martin and booked last minute - we loved the location, warm welcome, yoga and spa facilities (Massage with Elodie!). Thank you Kristin, Marc and team. We hope to return soon.

Great stay at Hotel L"Esplanade and thanks to Kristin and her staff. Our room and view were great and we loved the grounds and the easy walk into Grand Case. If we are fortunate to return to St Maarten in the future no doubt we will stay at Hotel L"Esplanade again.

The service was 5 star. They responded with extreme friendliness and service. The view was fantastic and the free pastries made you feel French. It was also very close to some of the best restaurants on the island. You have to go to Lolo’s for local fair and Ocean 32 for upscale.
