Quite area, lots of personal space. Restaurant and bar is walk-up, adjacent to pool.
The only downside is the property doesn't have a beach access for swimming.

When we walked in to check in, we were greeted by two of the friendliest hotel employees that I have ever met- Ladd and Zuzu. They were very accommodating and gave us a great room upgrade. During our entire stay, they were very helpful and responsive to anything we needed. We originally were only supposed to stay there 3 nights but because of them and the overall relaxed feel of the resort, we extended our entire 7 night stay to the Holiday Inn Resort Grand Cayman. Hotel room (1 bedroom unit) was very nice and roomy for the both of us. We had a great view of the ocean from our balcony. Later we spoke with the concierge lady, Zee, (who actually works for a company called Avivo Tours) who was very knowledgeable of the island and things to do. She booked us on an excursion to Stingray Alley.

My stay there was fantastic the only issues i have was there was no bottle water in the refrigerator. And hotel should atlease provide 2 bottles of water for all their guests

Well Renoir at the front desk was rude. I was called and told I needed to vacate my room but had already extended my stay. No one explained the shuttle properly and no one was at fault. Renoir made rude comments about my hair. Anytime I tried to ask a question about pricing, breakfast or the shuttle I was basically shut down and redirected.
I was double billed for the $100 deposit. Still waiting on it to be given back. They were not very helpful. We met other people at the hotel they had problems with the front desk staff as well. Basically everyone had the same complaints. The communication about the shuttle pick up points and times was poor. The front desk staffers were either rude or clueless.

Resort was ok for what it was, I wouldn’t say it was worth the value of the cost. My thought was Holiday Inn you could do better and some of it was small things but for a resort in a tropical locale it just needed more to impress. For example the umbrellas over beach lounge chairs half were ripped up, the pool was nice but somewhat crudy around waterline, the wooden structure over the beach lounge chairs out by ocean area were in need of a fresh coat of paint so they didn’t look moldy. We had lunch at Driftwood and the food was at best average. There was a great bartender there. The garden court area was very nice, staff was friendly and courteous. Rocky beach area not sandy beach which I didn’t mind.

This property had a long bumpy inconvenient road with poor transportation to local areas of interest. There werent many fun activities to make you want to stay on the property. The only restaurant was slow service but nice staff. Smoke alarms went off twice! the gym was sad. the beach was sad. the birds were annoying. the concierge desk was not helpful and they were not aware of many activities on the island to choose from. I would not stay here again.
