The staff did not seem happy here. They were not friendly or helpful without being directly asked. They also did not keep the beach as clean or as “tidy” (chairs together etc) on a daily basis as I’d expect and other properties on the island do. Our view was lovely, but the location of our unit, near the Grand pool, was loud. I might recommend this resort to someone looking for activities and entertainment but we were not expecting or wanting this. Hearing loud bingo, loud music and yelling from the pool bar, and late-evening karaoke from the dock bar, all while inside our sealed, air-conditioned unit - let alone when on the balcony - was not our idea of relaxing and peaceful. We stayed on the east end because it is quiet, which unfortunately was not true of our unit.

Staying at the Morritt’s on the East End of the island is always superb. That area is quieter and there are always activities going on at the resort to entertain you if that’s what you want. Being able to leave your unit, walk out onto the beach and into the water and snorkel at your leisure is magical. The cabanas on the property are perfect.

Nice resort , beach front with fabulous view, nice updated rooms and amenities. Restaurants onsite are very good and staff was wonderful. Pool and swim up bar also very nice. Only downside was lack of chairs and shade (umbrellas) on the beach. They were reserved with towels very early. I would hope this changes in the future so that everyone can enjoy a chair/umbrella on the beach .

The resort is very nice and well maintained. But, the beach is not the best. We did really enjoy snorkeling off of the dock!

The resort is very nice and clean they maintain. The grounds very well pools are very clean, and they have 3 pools one is adult only the other two are for all activity's, ping pong, corn hole, bingo, beer pong, putt putt golf. The resort is a little princely with drinks and food that you can buy at the pool you cannot bring food or drinks from your room or outside food to any of the pools. The resort is tucked away on the east side of the island lots still to do over here beaches, restaurants, and snorkeling and a lot easier to get around then 7mile beach there are 14 go rounds from one end of the island to the other mostly by Georgetown to the Turtle Farm.

Definitely recommend renting a car to explore the island, go on excursions and drive to nice restaurants. The East End is beautiful but very quiet and very windy. Lots to do on the other side of the island.

Nice resort, beach was very rocky. The pools were great. Nice location as to a grocery store and the beach and the pools. Everything was pretty close, so not a ton of walking from one place to another. Lots of activities to participate in if you wanted to. Food was excellent. Davids had the very best fish, it was fresh and delicious. Watch the prices at Georges Cafe, they changed them daily. Check your receipts.

My wife and I had a great vacation at Morritt's Tortuga Club on Grand Cayman. The resort is immaculate and extremely well maintained. There are three pools: An infinity edged pool with a swim-up bar, a large salt water pool and also with a swim-up bar, and then an adults-only pool w/o the bar. The adults-only pool was a nice quiet place to hang out. Our room was for 2 people only and had a full kitchen. There is a grocery store and a liquor store right across the road and it was very easy to stock up with breakfast and lunch foods in the full sized refrigerator. The Cayman dollar is worth $1.20 of the USA dollar, so those meals in the room save you quite a bit over a week's time. A typical meal out for two with 2 of drinks each will go about $180.00, so it's important to know before you go if you're on a budget. The resort is close to several restaurants and there is a decent restaurant at the resort as well. Being at the eastern end of Grand Cayman is a blessing as it gets you away from there crazy traffic and congestion on 7-mile beach ***** at the West end of the island. We really liked it out there and we rented a car, which is necessary if you want to see all of the sites on-island. The island has many attractions that kept up busy all week. The island people were fabulous and friendly and we didn't meet a grumpy person all week. The resort has lots of sport options: Jet Skis, Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Sailing, kayaking, etc. We did snorkel right in front of the hotel and it was pretty good for going off of the beach. The water is clean and pristine and the beach is adequate and sandy. We only stay on the resort one day. That was the day that there were 3 cruise ships in port and 17,000 additional folks milling around. The resort keeps track of this to help you decide when to venture onto 7 mile beach on the West End, and when to avoid the area. We liked the resort so much that we purchased a time-share in their newest property while we were there. In took us 2 years to get an exchange as it was and we really want to got back!

a little further from the action, but it's close to the dive shop so it works out, love the pool and gym and the room has a nice ocean view and steps away from the beach front
