Excellent room except the toilet was messed up. The phones were not working so i had to wak downstairs 2 times for services which was a hassle. Food at the restaurant was delicious!! Beds and pillows very comfy. The balcony river view was nice. Indoor pool looked very nice but I went to outdoor one. The outdoor pool was dirty and no filter running at all but overall not bad. Nice shower pressure and very hot water! No plug in tub but i stuffed a wash cloth in drain and it worked fine. Fridge was cold but freezer was frozen over ( rm 366) with ice and needs defrosted. Overall excellent stay and well worth twice what i paid! THANK YOU

I think it would be a good idea if the property is used for affordable housing. Might be better equipped for single, small family apartments. I always had good memories from there. The location is beautiful. The Motel/Hotel might be fitting for rent that the locals can afford.

We had friends of ours gather for a get-together. We had 40 rooms blocked so we were all together. The staff was either really good or very mediocre. Front desk seemed very inept at the best. Our group kept getting sent to the national reservations phone line. Our group had to call and get quite stern with the desk about reservations being made within the location because toll free holiness could not see block or rooms and status. We requested the dance floor for another party in September. $300 for the dance floor. We asked for it again and was charged another $300. I don't think it had ever been moved. Some feathers from a costume were still stuck between the sections. We were charged to install the dance floor 2 times and it was never removed. When our get-together started, everything seemed OK at best, and that is trying to think positive. They had a bartender to serve us. Plastic 6oz cups were used. I ordered a Long Island. I saw the bartender look the recipe up on her phone. What I got was dark, reddish-brown, and tasted like 160 proof cough syrup.$8.00. A very close friend ordered a double. $16.00 for the same size 6oz cup. Almost straight liquor. I was busy visiting and had been eating fruit, cheese & crackers. The pizza (2 full sheets) was barely being touched. At the end of the evening, we asked for the food to be boxed up. 12 paper boxes just for the pizza. In our room, I wanted to try the pizza. Very very strong taste of being freezer-burned. Both dough and toppings. Almost no sauce. The pizza had to be pre-made sheet pizza and frozen. It was inedible. Our teen would not eat it. Next morning there was crumbs of breakfast left and seemed no desire to refill the buffet. Our room. Bed was clean and comfortable. Wallpaper peeling. Noisy Air-conditioner rumbled like truck. Shower cleanliness... shower looked worn and stained. Stood on towel to shower. The door, only way you could open and close the door was pick the door up over an inch and slam it shut. Back to the desk. One member cancelled ecause of illness, so front desk put a family in the hallway with everyone else being couples. We had chairs out in the hallway to get as many as we can together to continue talking. We were assured that we were private. Ladies were on sleepwear, lingerie, robes only. In comes a family. Front desk ineptitude put a family in a couples get-together. Front desk 1 Food. 1 because can't do -5 Facilities. 2 Cleanliness 3 Bell hops were awesome. Albert and his son were great as were the other guys. They get a strong 5 Would we come back. Only to shake Albert's hand again. Overall it was a quite unpleasant experience. General concensus from all of our friends, they would not be coming back, ever

Hotel is in complete disarray, our door would not shut unless slammed shut as the door was hitting the frame, one of our beds had mystery stains in it upon arrival. Another member of our party had their towel holder fall off the wall as it was not screwed in, just the screws set into the holes. As well as having issues with their doors as well. Bar was only open from 5-9. On a positive everyone that worked there was friendly, but we would not recommend staying at this facility.

Room was fine, toilet is so low to the ground I had to use the sink basin to pull myself up. The only rooms that are accessible are kings rooms so I was stuck because I have more than 2 in my party. Only 3 spaces to the whole lot. No designated space for drop off or check in. Huge party in the ballroom which took up all the parking spaces for hotel guests. Drunk people in the hall, kids running up and down, tons of chaos. Hotel charged $50 for security deposit and it doesn't state in the site. I use a stand up walker and front desk gave me a room that was all the way down the hall, not near the elevator. Not handicap friendly. No bar, vending machines only took change, no restaurant. Event downstairs we could hear it on the 4th floors. Walls are paper thin, we could hear couples doing their thing, disturbing. No water pressure in the shower. One and done, never again.

For over 40 years this hotel has been my favorite on the island. It has aged and seen renovations as it changed hands and hotel brands. But renovations are looking pretty good, and the price is reasonable.

I don’t think I have ever complained about a hotel before but in this case I must. We were checked in by a man who was wearing jeans and t shirt. Don’t hotel staff have a dress code? Obviously not. We appeared to be the only people in the hotel. Our room was on the 6th floor and to get to it we had to manoeuvre around two large containers placed under what had been a leaking ceiling. The room did have an amazing view. The bed was comfortable and the room large. The restaurant was not open. You could only eat in the bar. There were 6 options of food. The food was ok. The next morning we went for breakfast. The tables were without table cloths and no place settings. The buffet was a joke. The fruit plate was empty apart from 4 pieces of melon and half a strawberry. The hot food consisted of an empty container of scrambled egg. Bacon of which there was plenty, hash browns, strange looking sausages and some French toast. I asked a staff member for the missing food to be replenished. Apparently there had been 3 groups in earlier and the chef hadn’t had time to make more. There were 4 slices of bread, some Danish pastries and doughnuts in the cabinet. The fruit plate was replaced, as was the scrambled egg. We ate on a bare table top. There was no pepper to be found. The grounds are lovely. The indoor pool looked nice. On checking out I asked for my invoice. It was strange as usually you are asked if you had a pleasant stay. I did complain verbally to the front office supervisor Randy Abate. I listed all the faults and he apologised and gave me his card so I could make a formal complaint The hotel is run down and unloved. I agree with everyone that has commented negatively on the conditions of the hotel. Please don’t stay here unless there is no alternative. Lastly as I was leaving I suggested that the reason I hadn’t been asked if I had a pleasant stay was because they knew it had not been. The hotel is supposed to be a Radisson however it is independently run by Grandsam Island LLC.
