Hotels Near Hendrix Park in Grand Prairie

It’s refreshing to see a clean facility and such wonderful staff members daily. Grounds are kept clean, staff is attentive and sociable. I truly enjoy the housekeeping team, they are professional, thorough and friendly. Suyapa, Judith (housekeepeing team) Nick, Isaac and the newest member of the front desk team are all amazing. Great location to Six-Flags over Texas, the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers ball fields. I had a corner room on the 3rd floor. A marvelous location in a guest friendly Hotel. The atrium is breathtaking. Road construction can be a hassle if you let it. I navigated it with little to no problems during my 2 week stay. Staff met my every need. I had breakfast one time in the restaurant, the server was awesome the food was mediocre. They do have a breakfast buffet on the weekends which is idea on home game weekends. If you stay during a cowboys home game, you will notice. I had to ask security to quiet the room next-door at 1:30 AM, they did and the noise went away within 20 minutes, thank you. House keepers work their tales off. My room was always serviced with towels & washcloths with my trash emptied and bed made. My key card was disabled frequently because I am to silly to keep it away from my cell phone, but, they always rekeyed it with a smile. The parking is plentiful and the area is safe. Everyone we came in contact with was very polite and helpful. Our room was clean and thankfully cool when we arrived. Bed were comfortable. The location was near everything on our itinerary.

Loved being near AT&T Stadium. The hotel is close to Texas Live with several dining and nightlife options available nearby. Free parking at the hotel is included with plenty of spots. Nice restaurant and bar onsite. Will stay here again.

I am a 2+ decade IHG member, so I have stayed at more hotels than I can count over 26 years of traveling. With that said, this was without a doubt the worst stay at a Holiday Inn Express (Duncanville, TX) I have ever had!! Let’s start with the property. There was trash, beer/beverage cans, and cigarette butts scattered around the poorly maintained landscape. Lots of ****s, terrible parking lot, clearly no grounds keeper. The floors in the dining area are sticky from who knows what. The breakfast choices for a non-meat, plant-based eater was stark at best. The pancake machine was inoperative, so ended up eating off property each day, not very convenient. The room was ok, not great, but ok. Needed to buy a room freshener from the dollar store once the “new room smell” spray wore off…..lol. Shower grout in the corner had some sort of science experiment going on, not sure, but nasty. When I checked in, I wanted a room near the back of the property to mitigate the freeway noise out front. That was working ok until a commercial big rig truck parked in the parking lot right outside my window and ran a generator for two nights straight!! Yeah, no sleep with that nonsense going on. I notified the front desk, once by phone, once in person and left a phone message with the manager….NOTHING done to correct this at all, very disappointing!! They did offer to move me to a different room, closer to the freeway noise I was trying to avoid in the first place. They just couldn’t figure it out. I guess if I was playing my radio too loud, they would move guest to other rooms rather than ask me to turn down the music, go figure. Makes no sense to me!! I picked this place for a four night working stay because the reviews were good and it was close to where I needed to be. Don’t be fooled by the review photos, this place is not that at all. I ended up leaving a day early and found a different competitor to give my money to. I am surprised at IHG oversight of this property, they are usually very good places to stay, but not so here. There was also construction going on in sections of the property that was never mentioned. Find a better IHG property for your stay!! The manager will respond to this review with the usual “sorry you were disappointed in your stay, we will work to correct this and”…….yada, yada, yada. But this is a long-term property and customer service decline that doesn’t happen in a short period of time and usually gets worse before it gets better. Shop wisely my fellow travelers.

Arrived late to the wrong hotel. Caroline made the call to the other Laquinta we were reserved at. Thankfully they did not charge us and she took care of everything. Nice Hotel!!

the hotel provided free airport shuttle service, which is good for me, and they picked me up in ＜20 mins after i called them. room is clean, although the facilities are old.

For the partner to book, it should be possible, this month he has to go over, saying that I will help him book this hotel. So I personally feel good 👌👌👌

The location is close to the city center and is very convenient. When I arrived at the hotel at 8 a.m., I was able to check in early. The room was new and very clean. The staff was good and the breakfast was above standard. I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time I come to Dallas.
