What a fabulous B&B in Grantown. James and Stuart are amazing hosts and Firhall is stunning. The house has been restored to a high standard with lots of lovely touches in the room (Spey) coffee matching, chocolate, lovely toiletries, robes the list goes on. There is a guest lounge with a log burner perfect for a night cap and meeting other guests. Breakfast is continental but beware Stuart and James are feeders 🥰 it is plentiful and delicious. Perfect setting to explore The Cairngorms and surrounding area.

Our stay in Grantown-on-Spey at this beautiful B&B was stop #5. Our GPS took us on some "military Roads" to get us here from Culloden which was a bit disconcerting (thought we were going to be lost in the middle of nowhere0. This is a beautifully restored home and the love that went into its restoration is palpable. While James was doing solo work as the host and so breakfast was continental it was the prettiest presentation of breads, yogurt, fruit etc. I've had placed in front of me. Might start drinking tea just to create the ambience. Bed was very comfy, extremely clean bath, beautiful woodwork. Several restaurants within walking distance. Lovely little town with shop. Distilleries not far away but hire a driver - Simply Speyside is our recommendation.

This was my third stay at Firhall and James and Stuart have created a simply wonderful place which is so stylishly decorated, relaxing and with such attention to detail. The Spey Room was so lovely with lots of special touches including robes, slippers, coffee machine, shortbread, chocolate and mini fridge with a little bottle of milk and water. The bathroom had a bath with overhead shower and quality toiletries. They have thought of so many touches to enhance your stay. The continental breakfast had lots of delicious elements along with the usual cereals, fruit juice and toast. James looked after the guests so attentively and both James and Stuart have created such a fabulous place to stay. Firhall is the perfect base to explore the Cairngorms and lots of other special places in the area. Thanks both for a great few days, it’s always a true pleasure to return to Firhall, as well as seeing you.

James gave us a warm welcome to his delightful home. It's very well appointed and as James is not able to accommodate pets or children it's also very peaceful. Everything was beautifully presented including the breakfast. There's lots to do in the surrounding area - we enjoyed Cawdor Castle and Cardhu Distillery. We got a lovely evening meal at Ravenscourt House near by.

We were scheduled to stay at this B&B after arriving into Edinburgh. Our flight and luggage arrived late. As a courtesy, we called ahead to let James & Stuart know that we would be arriving around 8 pm. To our complete shock, we told by James (or Stuart ) that they would not allow us to check in since we would be arriving past 7 pm. We were told that one individual was a flight attendant and had been dropped off at the airport that morning and the other individual had a class to teach starting that 7 pm and could not check us in. When we asked if we could be checked in after the class, we were told absolutely not. Whichever individual we spoke with was absolutely rude and unhelpful. We asked for them to provide alternative accommodation recommendations and it was a struggle to get this information. The conversation quickly deteriorated with the individual being extremely rude to the point that I ended the conversation. It's clear that James/Stuart are not in the business of running a B&B for the right reasons and aren't adequately staffed to run it properly. Things happen that are beyond to control of clients but you do what you can to accommodate your clients. That's called basic client/customer service. Clearly this in not the case for James/Stuart, as they are more concerned that they not be inconvenienced rather then providing good customer service. During or visit Scotland, everyone we interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful. James/Stuart, were the extreme opposite of what we encountered elsewhere. They are extremely rude and unhelpful. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere.

I recently stayed at Firhall with my girlfriend & her parents, who were across from Australia, and I'm so glad we did, as I couldn't have asked for better Scottish hospitality. Firstly James, our host, was absolutely fantastic. He made us very welcome on arrival, and throughout our stay, and was such a friendly and relaxing presence - as well as going above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Skye room, which was nicely decorated and cosy, and we slept like logs. The entire house has a lovely warm atmosphere, and made us feel really relaxed. The breakfast was fresh and just the right size, with a lovely selection of ham and cheeses, gorgeous croissants and fresh, seasonal scottish fruit. Overall, we can't thank James enough, it was a wonderful stay, and made us properly relax for the first time in months. All the love, Andrew & Hannah

We spent one at the firshall and it was by far the best bed and breakfast we have been! Wish we would be back and for longer! Everything was impeccable, elegant, excellent service, breakfast was outstanding, very well presented! The room was so cozy, quality furniture all kinds of complementary products, even a spray for your pillow to help your sleep, one could not ask for more!

This was one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. Firhall Highland is absolutely beautiful. It has been impeccably renovated and the decor is elegant, stylish, and a perfect blend of historic charm with just the right dashes of contemporary flair woven throughout. We basked in the beauty of the home and it's decor. Also, the owners are fantastic. They are warm, welcoming and informative and they let you know that they are here to help without making you feel overcrowded or encroached upon. We also have to say that we loved the morning breakfast. It was beautifully presented and so yummy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend Firhall Highland.
