When we arrived at the hotel our booking resulted cancelled, but luckily the issue was fixed and we got a room. The room is quiet, bed comfortable, but the bathroom would require some refurbishment and styling.

Enjoyed my stay. Was disappointed that even with an elevator you still need to negotiate some stairs with luggage. The beds were a little uncomfortable. It is a beautiful location and the food was absolutely fabulous probably the best I had in Scotland. I would recommend this hotel just be conscious that you will still have some stairs to negotiate with luggage.

Visited for a night thanks to a voucher from my daughter. Hotel Looks grand from the outside. It’s quite an impressive building. Reception, bar and restaurant areas are all quite nice. Traditional Scottish decor. We got an alleged “superior room” with a garden view. The room was very tired looking with dirty staining on walls and stained carpets. The mattress was lumpy and hard electric shower was poor and furniture very dated and worn. The meal in the restaurant was average at best and the specials menu overpriced for what it was. £9 for a small bowl of Cullen skink and £32 for a sirloin with tiger prawns. Breakfast was buffet style under cooked bacon watery scrambled eggs and dried out beans. Haggis was tasty though.

This hotel is well located for the Cairngorms and Aviemore area. It is a Victorian house which needs some renovation, but there is a cosy bar and ample sitting areas. Sadly, the food in the evening was very disappointing and overpriced, although we did get compensation. The breakfast was fine, with lovely yoghurt and good selection of food: continental and full Scottish. Hassle free and self service. Our recommendation is not to eat in this hotel in the evening. The staff were helpful, but our room not completely clean - ditto the toilet and carpet.

The staff are this hotels best asset All very friendly and efficient.first impression was yellow dirty doors Got to room which had damp in the ceiling and walls with paper peeling The radiator was filthy Bathroom clean but unfortunately Shower not draining Tray filled with cold water so when water was hot couldn’t have shower as tray full of water Reported it but was never repaired Breakfast was buffet and reasonable Evening meals awful first night so ate out after that New carpets in foyer’s and stairs but stuck in a 70s time warp It’s an embarrassment for Scottish hospitality needs lots of investment

Excellent hotel. Warm welcome. Bar was excellent and bar man was a throw back to when people cared!

My experience with this hotel was incredibly disappointing, and *******'s lack of assistance in refunding my money made it even worse (although I booked another hotel the same night). It's evident that all the glowing reviews for this place are entirely misleading. Despite the promising pictures and positive feedback, the reality was a stark contrast. Room 206, assigned to us, was a nightmare. Mold infested every corner, from the window to the bathroom and the walls. The bed sheets were stained, the ceiling paint was peeling off right above the bed, blood stains adorned the pillowcases, and the curtains were riddled with unidentifiable spots. Room 136, which I occupied, fared slightly better but still fell far short of expectations. There were unsightly stains and molds on the bathroom walls, and even the towels were not spared from staining. The presence of mold in both rooms is a severe health hazard and entirely unacceptable. We promptly returned our keys to Stefan at the reception and checked out. However, he informed us that, as we had booked through *******, we needed to contact them for resolution. This ordeal not only cost us the money for the rooms but also the valuable time, emotional distress, and effort it took to scramble for another place at the last minute late in the evening. This experience was utterly disappointing and frustrating.

Room was very big as only one small electric heater was not enough. In the morning room was cold. Parking was not good. Not enough space.

The location is fabulous, staff was extremely nice and helpful and the food was excellent. The only complaint was the actual room. Very small shower, pealing paint over our heads, no heat with thin blankets and we had to lug our luggage up and down stairs to get to our room. Limited parking if you have a car. We were only there for one night so just decided to go for it. I would definitely stay there again but look at a different room!
