Nethybridge Hotel

My Mum and I stayed here for a night, we wanted something special and we had a lovely experience! This hotel may be old but I felt that was part of the charm, especially because you can pick up a paper at the desk which tells you all about the history of it (including how Mae West had a room there!). The man at reception was lovely, as were the bar staff, and we had a great sleep in a cozy, nicely themed room with a great bathtub. My Mum especially appreciated the Bible being left in the bedside table as well. That may have been done by a guest but it was nice that the staff left it there nonetheless in case somebody wanted to read it. There were a number of little touches like that, and we had a garden view which was lovely. Also the breakfast was included in our booking, and well worth it! I'd recommend this stay for anyone looking to have a nice night in the Scottish countryside!

Thank you so much if you are reading) * Free buffet breakfast is also very good with hot and cold items.. see photos * Rooms also very good. Neat and clean * Room contains basics necessitys like Kettle, tea, coffee,milk etc and bathroom items * Small park in front of the hotel looks beautiful * Many cark parking spaces available outside of the hotel, but we struggled coz we came very late

The hotel was booked by a friend who knows the hotel well and I was very impressed with the food and accommodation that was provided for a very modest payment for dinner, bed and breakfast.

The hotel needs some attention paint peeling off and shabby carpets but our room was good being one of the ones that have been upgraded The hotel is lovely and warm in all areas and the food was very good, also all the staff were wonderful especially Keely on reception who was always bubbly and helpful

My husband and I stayed at the Nethybridge Hotel with our two golden retrievers. We were treated like royalty! The service by the staff at reception, housekeeping and in the restaurant and bar was just exceptional. The food was great! And every consideration was made for us with our two dogs. Thank you so very much for your kindness and hope to see you again during the summer break! We plan to come back with more people...and the same dogs:)

This beautiful old building looks amazing but could do with a little upgrade on the inside. Our room was lovely, clean and the added bonus of an extra heater on the chilliest of days certainly made our stay comfortable. However the hallways could do with a coat of paint or redecorating. Despite that, I have to say the staff were delightful and the food was amazing. The breakfast choice was extensive and the evening meals were excellent (despite the fact that you only got offered a bread roll if you were on dinner, bed and breakfast package). Quirky but still excellent.

A great overnight stay. A warm welcome, a cosy, clean, well appointed and comfortable room, a delicious dinner, a fabulous breakfast and all aided and abetted by staff who couldn't do more for you if they tried. A real gem in the Highland, no matter what the weather

Stayed here whilst in Inverness for work. 40 mins or so from Inverness. Excellent hotel, excellent food and friendly staff. Unbelievable value for the money. Located in one of the most beautiful villages in the UK. I’ll definitely be back.

We have enjoyed Highland hospitality at its best at Nethybridge Hotel for many years. Robert Louis Stevenson once said that, for him, “to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive” not so with us and Nethy. We drive the 200miles from our home overlooking a river estuary and the sea, most of our furniture t****, including drawing room and bedrooms…..curtains, bed heads, chair and sofas we often wonder why we invest our hard earned cash in hotels so fortunate are we in our home and location but Nethy feels like home in another setting. ………heading to The highlands to enjoy the myriad beautiful vistas, we know that we will receive a warm welcome at The Nethybridge Hotel…..from signing it at reception, to our perfectly presented room near to the apartments once permanently set aside for Mae West, Cary Grant and Lauren Bacall in the 40s and 50s who came regularly to fish the Spey. The room had its industry standard four tea bags, two for arrival, two on waking before breakfast and of course complimentary Scottish shortbread….a welcome nibble before supper and a good advertisement for the industry. The staff are natural and welcoming and a credit to Strathmore Group who have done much to save some grand hotels in the north of England and Scotland. The food was superb, both at supper and breakfast. Creatures of habit, we love to retire to the drawing room and sit on the t**** sofa playing scrabble on our iPad, as we do at home. We left refreshed and ready for the next stage of our Highland tour.
