Motel 6 Grants, NM

Very helpful lady at front desk

This is a Motel 6, so it's very basic, but our bed was comfortable, the room was clean and we had everything we needed including a mini-fridge with a real freezer! That was a bonus, because I like to freeze water bottles overnight to use as ice for the next day's travel in the summer heat. Also we had LOTS of electrical outlets. The one problem was that our next-door neighbor allowed their young children to play outside our window--very loudly--until midnight. This isn't the fault of the Motel 6 management, but I get the impression that noisy neighbors are the norm at Motel 6 properties. So maybe the management should start making a point of informing incoming guests of "quiet hours"--or something. It's pretty tough to sleep with inconsiderate neighbors and makes us reconsider staying at Motel 6 properties.

Very clean. Very nice staff.

It’s was an inexpensive one night place to lay my head. Really nothing to do in the area. Probably 4 different places to eat. Bed was extremely hard. And the outside light was on all night so it made it difficult to sleep even with the “blackout” curtains closed. Their motto is we will leave the light on for you, just didn’t think it was literal. I will say I was grateful that there was a place to stop and sleep that was on the cheaper side on our cross country trek.

This was a pretty good motel (" I enjoyed the stay. My family enjoyed their stay. The beds were just right in comfort.

The customer service was excellent! The couple that greeted me made me feel like an old friend!!! This is a clean, welcoming place to stay. The beds are comfortable. I will be returning to this motel.

A very good value. Good price, clean room, nice heat and fan, nice tv, clean bathroom. Missing / no shampoo/conditioner . And the mattress was very lumpy. A fresh topper or new mattress would have made this place very comfortable. . So close but you got to have a good bed

This was the fourth time I have stayed there in the last four months. The first and second time was the same people working the desk. I did not feel confident in his ability but he got the job done. The third time was fantastic. The guy behind the desk was extremely friendly and confident. He even called my room to make sure everything was okay. This last time, there were three people, obviously a family (husband/wife and grandpa?). They had "grandpa" check me in and he didn't really have a clue as to what was going on. It took entirely too long. When I checked out the next morning asking for a receipt, the wife asked for my email. I asked for a printed copy. She had to go get the husband. He could not get it to work. He said my email address was not on my account, so I had to give it to him. EXTREMELY inefficient. They also had a car parked out front in the second parking spot for guests checking in both during check in and check out process. Rather rude if you ask me. I will probably check on other hotels for the next trip.
