Arona Guest Hotel

We stayed at the Arona Hotel in Great Yarmouth over the Easter weekend and found Martin’s hospitality amazing. He offered places to visit and things to see in the local area. The hotel is situated in a great location within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, amusements and the pier. The hotel also has on site parking on a first come first served basis but we never had an issue finding a parking space. The breakfast was fantastic, very hot and with lots of options to choose from. The room was very warm with a comfortable bed and a good en-suite facilities. We would highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel if you are thinking of staying in Great Yarmouth.

Set just off the seafront opposite the waterways, lovely quiet location with parking on site. Nice room with a fantastic shower. Breakfast was nice, cooked fresh to order. Would definitely stay again

Excellent in every aspect

Pros: Close to the beach, Male owner was extremely helpful and did his best for us to have a lovely time when we were on this property, property itself was lovely, rooms were clean and tidy, we had it serviced and that was done well too, breakfast was cooked well, and good spread of fruits, yogurt's and cereals. 21 rooms but not enough parking if all were booked (we were the only ones there so we had enough), close to Asda and Sainsbury....Cons: beds were very bad to sleep on, All (and I tried all) mattresses are very very old, I could feel each spring when I was turning therefore gave us massive back pains next day, we do pay for a good nights sleep and there was none. Day one had no hot water in our room but this was resolved by Male owner who kindly allowed us to use the other room to shower however this was a hassle for me moving rooms with a 5 year old child so this should be checked before we checked in. Female owner was very rude on day 2 who could not take a breakfast order correctly and was trying to intimidate us into how we should give the order when on day 1 Male owner had no issues with the exact same breakfast order.

Lovely hotel, owners were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was lovely freshly cooked to order. Rooms were decorated nice and were spotless. Brilliant location and would 100% recommend and would stay again.

This charming hotel in a quiet road is an absolute delight, well presented and has all you need for a relaxing stay. Mandy and Martin are friendly and welcoming, they make you feel at home and make time for a chat and great banter. Rooms are immaculate and comfy, the large tv lounge is a superb place to relax and the games room is of a good size with a well stocked bar. The delicious breakfasts are superb, there's plenty of choice and the dining room is lovely. The lift is a welcome bonus as is the seating and vending machine in reception. We had a brilliant week stay and highly recommend booking a visit. We're very much looking forward to returning in January. Lindsay and David

I'm sorry but I'm not going to pretend I enjoyed myself cux I never u are both rude and never made us feel welcome feeling like we was being spied on all the time cameras everywhere what was the point in coming out to us to talk then u just stand there looking into space shes too busy drinking in the bar and staring into space next morning looks like a zombie u blamed my dad for locking himself out u made him feel like it was his fault I'm sorry but it's not except able ur responsible for if the door is locked or not ur room is just basic.we paid alot of money and it wasent worth the money everyone is saying how lovey u was but u wasent tho if we're not ur type class person u don't wanna know us bit nasty tbh im.not having ago just stating facts we won't be staying again yes ur room was clean and u servised it but I just didn't agree with how we was treated

Over lovely guest house nice staff and food was great only let down was the bed was very hard and uncomfortable
