We had a really lovely stay at this hotel. We were there for 2 nights and both rooms were spotless and had balconies that had sea views. They have plenty of parking, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. We didn’t use the pool as it was a bit cold. If you get a chance do the cliff walk you’ll see lots of nature and some great views. The local restaurants are also very good. Highly recommended.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer top Lage. Direkt am Meer, der Cliff Walk kann nur wenige Meter weiter begonnen werden, zwei Minuten von den Geschäften entfernt. Unser Zimmer war weniger einladend was uns im Hinblick auf die vorherigen Bilder ziemlich enttäuscht hat. Blick in den Garagenhof, Räume eiskalt und nicht heizbar, Badezimmer in keinem guten Zustand. An der Rezeption teilt man uns mit das man zu gewissen Zeiten besser nicht frühstücken solle, da sich ein Schulverein junger Kinder im Haus befand. Diese schrien, klopften und tobten rund um die Uhr herum, wodurch der Aufenthalt unerträglich wurde. Ein Verweis auf Urlauber gab es nicht. Sehr schade, da wir für die zwei Tage extra weit angereist waren. Das Hotel glich somit einer Jugendherberge.

We had a lovely stay at Harbour House hotel in Hermanus. Our apartment was spacious with all amenities. Staff were lovely, courteous and helpful. Would recommend

My wife and I stayed at the Harbour House on the night of 31 August 2024. The night was quite cold, so we started a fire in the fireplace. After an hour or so, the room was filled with smoke and we had to evacuate the room. The staff member that came to our room to remove the burning embers, told us that there was a known issue with the fireplace in that room (but apparently not fixed). The smoke alarm did not work. A serious safety risk. The desk agent was able to place us in another room which she stated was not in the same class as the one we booked. The next morning, I spoke to Kevin Masson, the Host Manager. He also acknowledged that there was an issue with the fireplace in Unit #2, but he did not seem at all concerned about our safety. When asked about any compensation related to the smoke filled room, or being move to a tiny room in the other building, he stated that someone at the home office would contact us. No one has reached out to-date. I'm an international traveler, so perhaps I don't understand the local rules associated with fire safety, smoke detectors or how customer service works in South Africa, but this was an awful incident that other potential guests should be aware.

Best stay ever planning on going again soon hopefully December can't wait loved it there the food and atmosphere was the highlight thinking of taking group of friends so they can see for themselves seafood was out of this world and impressed us so much

We booked what we thought was a family 2 bedroom apt but turned out to be sofa beds so we had to pay for the additional room, perhaps not the hotels fault following an “upgrade “ on the booking platform. Not ideal. Leaving that aside, the location was good, but beware they have several blocks and not entirely clear what you are getting. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable with underground parking. Views are good. Just relatively pricey for what it is.
