We were seeking a quiet week in the Blue Ridge Mountains and this resort delivered exactly what we were hoping for. Our cabin appeared to have been recently updated/redecorated. It had all the basics and a comfortable bed. Best of all, our deck overlooked the lake! It was a bit of a trek from the parking area to our cabin, but worth the walk. (Many of the cabins were closer to parking.) We didn't take advantage of many resort amenities, but we walked through most of them and they were very nice. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. We made day trips to surrounding attractions including Shenandoah National Park, James Madison's Montpelier, James Monroe's Highland, Appomattox Court House, and Charlottesville. The distances are short and the landscape is lovely.

Shenandoah Crossings feature cabins instead of condos. We really enjoyed this change of pace. Lake and property were beautiful. We brought our own kayaks, which was good, as the rentals were not available on Sundays. Restaurant was closed Monday and Tuesday, which was strange. Pool was nice, but there was no place close to the pool to purchase drinks, snacks, etc. Overall, very nice resort that we would consider returning to.

Shenandoah Crossing is a cozy cabin resort that makes you feel like you’re out in the woods by yourself even though others are nearby. It is well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and helpful!

Traveled here during off season. The landscape is beautiful, resort areas were clean and the yurt was fun. The cabins looked pretty nice too. This will probably be our last trip to this Bluegreen property. Although Shenandoah Bluegreen did make for a restful few days following a fast and furious tour of DC, the resort had minimal things for families to do. The activities were disorganized. You show up for the activities and no one is around or you are directed to the supplies to “do-it-yourself”. Things like group games/competitions are more fun as a group as opposed to playing against your small family at your own direction. The activities the resort charged you for were available as was Bingo. There was an abundance of activity staff, so not exactly sure why activities weren’t better organized. If you have been to other Bluegreen resorts with planned activities just be aware that this is not the same type of activities. The barn was open for horse rides and it seemed popular. We hoped to swim or get in hot tub, but only the small indoor pool was open during our stay and it was so murky you couldn’t see the bottom. The scenery and peaceful landscape were enjoyable. Waking up with nature was also fun. This is a wonderful place for a couple to just relax and refresh. If you’re a family I would suggest a different place or definitely postpone your trip to Shenandoah Bluegreen until peak season in hopes that pools, restaurant and activities are in full swing.

The natural setting was good. That is were it stops. Room in lodge was dmsll, limited tv channels, two beds but only one chair, ( they refused to give us another chair, nowhere to eat out. Resort restaurant was closed, had to drive 20 minutes to get breakfast. We did fine a great employee who was helpful and solved a couple of our problems. His name is Warren!!

The cabins are lovely. But there are not numerous trails on the property as advertised. It is very remote. There is nothing anywhere near it, so in the winter there is little to do. I also didn’t like a 10:00 a.m checkout, when they ask you to assist in the housekeeping.

On our fourth visit to Shenandoah Crossing we experienced warm hospitality and weather, a well-appointed cabin on the lake, and we're pleased with the newly reopened restaurant at the Lodge. Grandma's Carrot Cake was the best!

This was our second time at this resort and we choose the off season it is quiet, relaxing and not crowded at all. The only down side is I wished the units had a washer & dryer. This time we stayed in the Deluxe cabin and loved it! Very spacious and again the scenery was beautiful.

Our three bedroom cabin was very spacious and clean. Views are amazing! We enjoyed outsize hot pool (spa) and mini golf very much. The only bummer was the size of the inside pool and the strong smell of chlorine which kids were ok with but not adults. Overall ge=reat experience for February vacation!
