A natural experience ... no TV but great wifi, and a comfortable place for R&R with seasonal fun in the water.This private 150' Lake Huron frontage is ten minutes from the International AuSable River Canoe Marathon in July; half hour from Lumberman's Monument; and a few hours from famous Mackinaw Island. The surrounding area has beautiful and reliable fishing spots, stellar golf courses and hiking trails.Our rental house has a mid-century California vibe. The main bedroom has amazing views of sunrise and moonrise over Lake Huron, with an en suite bathroom, office/dressing room. Large living room has floor to ceiling windows w/ sliding door that opens onto beach patio. Second bedroom has twin beds and an adjacent second bathroom. Cottage style kitchen and dining area has original Saarinen Tulip Table and chairs. The kitchen is stocked with spices/basic supplies. Adjacent is a utility room with w/d and exits to the garage where you find flotation vests and kites. The kayaks and paddle boards are kept on the beach. Weber charcoal grill, fire pit, and sculpture garden are near the house. Artist owner lives on adjacent property with her ceramics studio; her sculptures are displayed on the property and can also be seen at Dow Gardens in Midland starting May 26th, 2025We're on the US 23 Heritage Trail that travels along Lake Huron's coastline. There are numerous art fairs, antique stores and quilt shows up and down this Sunrise Side of Michigan. Drive up to Alpena and take a glass-bottom boat tour of the Thunder Bay shipwrecks, see the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center, or visit the Besser Museum Planetarium.This area of Northeast Michigan offers music events, writers conferences and artist retreats.
