We've stayed in this hotel at least 10 times going from PA to SC. The renovations recently done are absolutely beautiful. This was not a lipstick on a pig redo, the rooms are updated and modern. The colors are peaceful, enough charging places, lighting is adequate and the entire room was not only beautiful, but comfortable. Tub, toilet and sink have new fixtures. We had takeout from the restaurant and the employee was friendly and efficient. The front desk employee at check-in was pleasant, friendly, and efficient. We travel with a dog. The previous stays we were on the first floor and requested the same on this stay. This was requested when the reservation was made, but do understand it's determined by availability. A second floor room was assigned and it was explained we should use the steps. We explained steps are not something our greyhound has mastered, but he is familiar and comfortable with elevators. She asked if we could pick the dog up and this would have been impossible with our boney pony. We explained they don't do step, can't sit, but don't bark or shed. The entire encounter was very positive and the employee was doing her job. We hold no ill feelings for the chain or the hotel and understand rules. Please be aware if you have a pet, you may have to do steps or carry in the elevator.
