Was in town for an event with my wife. Hotel is on a busy stretch just off the highway, but convenient to get back to if you're at the Coliseum or downtown. Big parking lot, and no problems finding a spot. There were three big events the weekend I was here, so the place was booked solid. This seems to have caused some issues. Lobby was clearly recently refreshed, and the staff was really great and friendly the entire time we were there. We pre-checked in via the honors app and were hoping to just go to our room, but had to go to the front desk so they could check our card. There was only one person working the front desk when we arrived, so there was a backup and wait to get everyone checked in. They were unbelievably friendly, just seemed as if they were understaffed, and mentioned that the computers were being upgraded this weekend. Sign mentioned that a manager was on duty, but never saw them come to help get people sorted. Room was standard, albeit a little small, if I'm being honest. Beds were firm, pillows were definitely not. Bathroom was large and clean, with plenty of towels. Large, relatively new television. Only real complaint is that the toilet seats are super loud when closing, so we could hear every time our neighbors used the restroom. Breakfast was so-so. Standard Hampton waffles on offer, but outside of those, nothing felt particularly great. First day was western-omelettes and canned corned beef hash. The second day, I went down around 8am to find that there was nothing really left other than one bagel, one piece of bread, a sausage patty, and oatmeal left. That was a bummer. This hotel has a decent location, and great staff. It honestly feels like management is cheaping out on some of the things such as breakfast offerings and staffing. I probably wouldn't come back, but it was a serviceable property for what I needed.
