Where to start!? The door to the room had missing doorstop, 1/4 inch crack that allowed one to see into the room. Carpet had bleach(?) splotches, carpet was dirty, upholstered chair was so filthy I put a bed sham over it before I felt ok sitting in it. No blankets on beds, only sheet and decorative sham. Walls were chipped and had stains, door to water closet had something splashed and running down it. Lights were so dim I had to use phone flashlight to read a book. Dirt piled up at edges of carpet deeper than the pile. Did not see any bugs, but felt grossed out the whole time I was in the room.

The immediate area is run down and crime ridden. There is another hotel with night club next door with all kinds of nefarious activities spilling over into this hotels parking lot. Upon entering (8:00p.m.)we were greeted by the front desk clerk who sits behind plexiglass. No A/C in lobby/breakfast area. The Breakfast area appeared to have never been cleaned. Was issued a 2nd floor room above front desk. No elevator as others have stated, but not a deal killer if it weren't for the smell in the stairwell, which was a combination of sick and urine. The door to my room required an unusual amount of force to open and close. The carpet in the room was dirty as were the walls and bathroom. There was hair and bugs in and on the folded towels. The shower plumbing/tub faucet was not seated to the shower wall. The water smells musty, but this smell is prevalent at other establishments visited in the town. No AC in hallways. Wet and broken furniture. Everything is filthy. Lot-Lizards everywhere. Room AC made noise but didn't cool. The place should be condemned.

When I arrived to check in I was told that the computers were down and I could not check in. That was it. No alternatives. I finally said "why don't you take my name and number and call me when I can check in and I will find a place to wait"? When I could check in I was told "by the way we aren't serving breakfast right now". When I went to find my room I asked where the elevator was and the reply was "we don't have one, you'll have to take the stairs. So I had to carry my luggage up two flights of stairs. I was completely inconvenienced from the start and offered nothing in return. I was not thanked for being a Choice Privileges member. I did not get my bonus Starbucks card at check in. My room was disgusting. The carpet had not been vacuumed. Where the smoke detector should have been were wires hanging out of the wall. The shower head came to my chin so while I showered I had to crouch to get wet. While I was crouching under the shower I looked up and the ceiling was covered in black mold, which they had tried to paint over. I could see the hallway through the door crack and I'm sure anyone could see into my room. It was horrible and the worst part was that I used my earned points to pay for it. What a disappoin**ent. The hotel chain should be ashamed and drop this one from their name. And I should get my points back for this awful experience.

I was essentially disgusted by this horrible hotel. Let me tell you why. First, I find out upon check in, after I had to ask, that there is absolutely no breakfast - not even coffee and a muffin. Then, when I am directed to the stairs for my second floor room (turn left from the lobby) and ask where the elevator is I am told that there is no elevator. I asked in astonishment, "They built this hotel without an elevator?" the two people behind the desk looked at each other and one of them said, "I don't think there was ever an elevator here." I still find it hard to believe that a hotel that has inside room entrances was build without an elevator. Then, going upstairs, the air temperature was very hot and I noticed the hall air conditioner at the entrance to the second floor was not plugged in and there was this awful smell in the hall. Thankfully, the AC was on in the room and the smell in the room was more like disinfectant than rotten fish like it was in the hall. Next we noticed that there was no soap in the room. Three containers of shampoo, but no soap at all. I went back downstairs to tell the person behind the desk about the soap and she proceeded to tell me that someone had checked the room twice and said all was fine. I told her that person had lied. She then brought me 2 wrapped bars of soap. When I got back to the room, I noticed two of the light bulbs were burned out, so I took them downstairs and was given replacements. Although the room was large and the bed was comfortable, the carpet was filthy, which I didn't notice until I looked at the bottoms of my white socks, which now were dark brown (see photo). The toilet tank refilled by itself maybe 30% of the time - otherwise we had to lift the tank lid and push down on the float to make water come into the tank. The snack machine was completely empty (see photo), the few feet of water in the pool appeared to have accumulated from rain and the exposed sides of the pool were filthy (see photo). Some of the light fixtures around the pool were broken and leaning (see photo), and the landscaping at the hotel entrance consisted of a variety of healthy ****s (see photo). We had booked this hotel for 2 nights and decided rather than switching to another hotel and paying (I used my Choice Privileges points to stay free for two nights) we would endure a second night. We left the first morning and upon our return at 3pm that afternoon we found our room had not been serviced, although the house keeper was cleaning the room right next to ours. We asked her about it and she showed me her list, on which our room was not marked to be cleaned. She was very nice and quickly made the beds and changed the towels while we waited. The hotel next door had a bar so that parking lot was crowded with cars late at night and lots of people were walking around. One night we watched as police broke up a fight between two females in front of that hotel. I'm sure I am leaving out other proble
