Girlfriend and I needed an escape and gf wanted to go swimming while we were at it. We went to one hotel and the pool wasn't open. So to make the gf happy I extended our mini vacation by booking another place. I called and made sure the pool was open and in good shape. I got a guarantee. We checked in and went to the pool, it was closed. They put in chemicals right after check in at 3pm and said we could swim the next day. The next day came and we kept getting told it'll be fine. Two days and the main reason we stayed was so gf could go swimming. They promised a pool. Nice lady even came by to give gf a towel for the pool... but then it was never open during our stay. The room was cool and mostly clean. If we didn't come specifically because the pool at the other hotel was closed and she wanted to swim it would have been ok. Instead we got the runaround, constantly being told the pool will be open soon, it never was. And the manager doesn't seem to exist.

Let me begin by saying that our room was immaculately clean when we arrived, very spacious, and we slept well. The bed was very firm, which we like, and everybody who has ever slept at a Holiday Inn will attest to the fact that the pillows are divine. However, there were disappointments from the get go. Being disabled, I asked whether there was a seated elliptical in the gym. Unfortunately, all the machines assume an able body, thus - despite having rooms for disabled people - the gym ignores our needs. I then asked about the pool (figuring I could exercise in there) only to be told it was closed. Basically 2 of the amenities for which we picked Holiday Inn, were unavailable. There was a walk in shower, with a pull down seat, however, when sitting on the seat, the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were behind your head, which made no sense and was difficult to reach even with twisting sideways.(see photo) While we were out, our room was cleaned and we came back to a wonderfully fresh smell of aloe and green tea. The maid did an awesome job and when I saw her, I told her so. In fact, all of the staff were smashing. The lady who prepared the breakfasts made us feel like family, nothing was too much for her. Overall, we had a good stay and would prob stay again if we were going to Greenwood.

One night stay on the way to Myrtle Beach. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Rooms were very nice and clean. Common areas were well kept and the pool area was stocked with towels. Continental breakfast was above and beyond. Smoked sausages, muffins and pastries, make your own waffles, eggs, cereal and plenty more. We would for sure stay here again.

Cody, who was working the desk, was very helpful and polite. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Hotel is off the road, so it was quiet but easy access. Breakfast had many choices and was clean. The Blue Ocean restaurant was close, and food was excellent. Lots of room to park large vehicles or towing vehicle at this hotel.

Wow! What a great experience we had here! We have family that lives nearby, so we have tried out almost all of the local hotels. No more searching around- this is it from now on! New, clean, friendly, modern, very very comfy beds, spacious rooms! Breakfast was a bit lacking for me, but they had a pancake maker so my kids were over the moon! I highly recommend this hotel- and even better, don’t have to drive into Greenville to stay there!

We stopped in to get a room while in the Greenwood area. The desk clerk, forgot his name, was super nice and gave us a good deal on a king suite. We had a comfy bed and a very clean room. The breakfast was good but at 8:30 there was almost no eggs or sausage and no one came back to refill. However we ate other things for breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and will return here if in this area again.

GGuest UserI made my reservation for a single room the day before - through my AAA membership. I received a bit of a discount - which was a nice bonus. The first evening I planned to stay (Friday 3/3/23) - I called the hotel directly to confirm my reservations for the next two evenings. I spoke to a gentleman (I think was the Manager, Mr Goswami). The man confirmed that my reservations were received and they were happy to have me as a guest. I got a very welcoming and grateful attitude from the man on the phone. Many of the more ”fancy”/expensive locations all pretty much adhere to many strict policies - many of which turn out to be most convenient for themselves, and many times come as a mild to major inconvenience to the customer. One of the such huge inconveniences to me (with the more ”fancy”/expensive locations) in the recent past has been the hassle I have gotten increasingly more and more over the last few years of - when you mention or intend on paying them with cash, they act like you just asked them if you could urinate in their pool. They treat you like you are a sketchy person trying to get over on them or something. With this hotel - CASH WAS NOT A PROBLEM! I like that. The Manager Mr Goswami served me with a smile and kind words the entire time during my check in. He was happy to accept cash, was glad I was able to get a discount with AAA, and the check in was the FASTEST, least invasive, and pleasant experience I have ever had with travel lodging. He truly seemed very happy that I had chosen to stay at their facility. Also, I locked myself out of my room accidentally on Saturday night. I went to the night window - within 10 seconds Mr Goswami was at the window. I explained, he spoke to me with smiles and a kind voice the whole time. He gave me an extra key within seconds - and even waived their usual fee of $2 for the extra key. I seen one reviewer who made a comment that the management staff/owners - live on the property. As if them living there was somehow supposed to make the stay less enjoyable, or maybe the place was trashy or low class because of this. I propose the exact opposite feelings. I have stayed in several Indian/Pakistani owned places. And, as far as I can recall - they all live at the location they run. In my opinion - this means they care more about service, security, and the well being of the property - it isn't just a job to them - it is their entire life. I don't care if grandma has a room downstairs and she is cooking out on a grill or hanging laundry out - that would mean, if I felt like breaking out my grill or hanging my laundry out - they wouldn't say anything to me. That to me is warm and courteous service. It is strange - in our society we have gotten to where if someone is friendly or relaxed in communicating or dealing with us - we try to make that person seem weird for being a laid back/warm person. It is like most people are brainwashed to believe that everything has to follow strict, sterilized, corpo
