Good spot first time in Denver wish I stayed closer to city center but breakfast was nice

While checking in we paid the incidental fee - no biggie. However, what was terrible was AFTER I swiped my credit card to cover the incidentals, the front office staff then told me of the extra fees I needed to pay and that they were taking them from the incidentals that I had paid. Basically, Hampton Inn led me to believe I was paying for one thing when in reality I wasn't. I feel like they stole from me without my knowledge by using my credit card info to pay the extra fees. I don't like companies that deceive customers like this and therefore I can't recommend this place to others.

We chose this property because our daughter lives in an apartment complex next door. We checked in a little later than we had planned and found ourselves in a time crunch for our evening plans. When we got to the room, we immediately could tell they gave us the wrong room. We had booked a studio suite and we received just a regular room. We didn't have time to address this and just put our items in the room. We got back late that night and just went to bed with the plan to address the issue in the morning with the front desk,The next morning, we discovered our shower was broken. We went to the front desk to check out and to inform them of the two different problems. We were told, we would have to address the issue with ******* as that is who we booked with. As to the shower issue, it was just a "we will have maintenance look at it," response. The property is very nice looking, but be warned, the walls are paper thin. Further, our door didn't quite close correctly, so you could basically see out into the hallway through a gap in the frame. This was not a good experience. We are Hilton Honors members and I feel there was little to no effort put in to understand the mistakes we experienced during our stay..

I always enjoy staying at this property when in Denver. It is in a safe, clean location and there are several amenities within walking distance. I also enjoy the studio apartment feel with the kitchen. It makes for a roomy, cozy environment. 😃
