Lovely stay. Reception very helpful and accomodating. Excellent location.

Spacious, great air con, comfy bed, full kitchen, bars, restaurants and supermarket within walking distance. Only negatives were drier and dishwasher didn’t seem to work.

The Hotel is in dire need of a renovation compared to other hotels of similar price and location. We were disappointed from the moment we arrived. Despite advising the hotel that we were checking in late, we received no reply with instructions, upon arrival we had to make 3 phone calls before someone reluctantly came down to check us in. The room looked very worn out, stained carpets, dirty couches, the fridge froze our drinks, and the shower would not stay in position. The road noise was so bad, that it felt like there was no window behind the curtain and we were sleeping on the roadside. To get sleep, we spent our second and last night elsewhere. Will not be back!

It was a nice stay

First room had many issues. We were changed room quickly with no issues. This is a dated property lots of little issues staff not always equipped with the answers. Parking $20 but very good indoor clean. Good for one night

One of the worst checkin experiences. We arrived at 7pm (as they knew) and we had to use an intercom system. It just kept ringing out, until someone finally answered. The lady said she would unlock the door. This was untrue, so we had to keep ringing back again. They then said a Manager would come down. This didn't happen either so we had to keep ringing back. After 20 mins finally someone came to let us in

Studio room, really good experience! Stayed one night, got the room for about $140 for the night and it was more than worth it. Super comfortable bed and pillows, everything needed in the kitchen (I didn’t need to use it though). Bathroom was simple, all the basics provided that you need. My room was at the back of the property (not facing Ponsonby Road) and was quiet when the windows and sliding door to the balcony was shut. Had aircon. Only semi concern was that I didn’t have a credit card on check in and the paperwork said there would be a $2,000 hold! I queried this (have never encountered such a sum at hotels!) and the woman behind the counter said yes it was correct and to just give my debit card… no charge was made to my debit card. Seemed super excessive! Anyway, overall a great stay and I’ll definitely return. Awesome location.

Comfortable bed. Unfortunately staff comms weren't great. I called down at 7am to ask about a later check out (after arriving very late the night prior from overseas). the person couldn't help me and said they'd get someone to phone me back. Nobody did. I called another two times to be told the same thing. Eventually I spoke to a grumpy person on reception who eventually agreed to a 30 minute later check out time. if they had told me this at 7am when I first asked it would have been OK but to constantly ring and chase to then be met by someone write gruff wasn't the best service sadly.
