Me and a friend booked a spa package which included 2 hours of spa facilities and afternoon tea. When we were arrived, we were shown to our table for afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was lovely with a range of cakes, scones and sandwiches. After the afternoon tea, we were then expecting to go into the spa as per our booking. However, when the time came, no member of staff was available to show us to the spa. After waiting, I told a member of staff that it was now our spa time. She then went to get a spa host. After 5 minutes, we were shown around the spa facilities. Here, it would have been useful to find out how the facilities worked as for people who haven’t been to the spa before, we didn’t know how to turn the bubbles on in the hot tub. The spa facilities are in good condition. However, one of the outdoor hot tubs was lukewarm and not ‘hot’ at all. We ordered our complimentary drink (we received an email earlier in the week to say the sauna wasn’t working so we were entitled to a free drink), however after an hour of this not arriving, I had to ask again for the drink to be delivered. Whilst the facilities were okay, we felt like we were left to find our way (hard when we haven’t been to this venue before!). Staff were not easily accessible when our drink didn’t arrive. Overall, it was a nice venue.
