Groesbeek Hotels with Airport pickup service

Arrived very late to the hotel, Had a new staff so was not sure off a lot of things. It’s not near the city centre at all. Taxi required to the station.About €20 .Great for walks as it’s secluded and very green. Make sure you have had dinner if you are out and about in town as there might not be any at hotel. We were told as there were hardly anyone who wanted dinner on our last night, the kitchen / chef wasn’t making any dinner. Kids were hungry. Asked if anything at all could be made Pizza was suggested by one of the staff. She then told me it was frozen and would be warmed up😳😳. Hotel needs updating as it’s so dated. On the plus side, rooms were large and spacious.

Stopped here for couple of nights. The hotel is quite nice, clean, has a restaurant. Located in a small village near the border with Germany. Hotel employees were very friendly, help with every questions. There are some picturesque roots to walk and admire the river.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel 3 nights in May 2022. I observed some attitudes from the hotel's restaurant staff. One night we decided to eat at the hotel's restaurant. When we entered the restaurant, we saw 4 staff chatting together. They carried on chatting and ignored us. This carried on 10 minutes! Meanwhile, we waited. My husband then very politely tried to get one of the staff's attention but was totally ignored! She only looked up when she was good and ready. What usually happens is they'll say, ”ik kom eraan”. We'd have been happy to grant it. Once we were seated, one of the waiters went to another table who were seated after us. When the same waiter finally ”saw” us, my husband asked to look at the menu first. His demeanor changed and said, ”oh, you don't want any drinks,” said ”good” and just walked away!!! Only minutes later the leader of the wait staff came by with all the menus. What is it with the restaurant staff's attitude? The other staff were efficient and friendly though. Their rooms have different layouts. All are spacious but there are different layouts. Behind the hotel are woods with wonderful trails for long and short walks. This is a big group of hotels throughout The Netherlands

I don't know when I've been a hooker, Van der Valk is always good, so a 5-star review.

We are travelling from the UK and needed to be near Wijchen to visit family so stayed at the Mercury in Nijmegen for a couple of nights. It’s right by the Train Station which is exactly what we needed - simple to get to after the journey from Amsterdam and great to get back and forth to Wijchen. We arrived early but were swiftly checked in and given room right away. This has the feel of a business hotel but that means clean and efficient which is all we needed. The room was small but not tiny - had a decent safe and nice shower. We had breakfast twice and thought it was very good especially the croissants and fresh orange juice. One day was very busy but staff all seemed to pull together and service level was good. We didn’t use other facilities. It’s very close to station but no real train noise to disrupt sleep and also 5 min walk to centre of Nijmegen. Good option for Nijmegen and surrounding area.

The room was not big but all was there that we needed. Parking is not a problem, as the building is in anice area inside the park. Service was good, very quiet. Views are wonderful from the restaurant. Breakfast was wonderful, notch up from majority of hotels. Relaxing.

Small but nice hotel room. Good beds, coffee and tea facilities and refrigerator. Lunch in the afternoon was good and breakfast was a very pleasant surprise with a lot of delicious things you certainly do not meet in other hotels. We hadden een overnachting met wellness arrangement geboekt. Het saunagedeelte op de boot is leuk en origineel. Niet groot , maar zeker niet te klein en genoeg afwisseling met baden en gedeeltes, Maar dan ons hotelverblijf: Op het eerst zicht leek de kamer ruim en mooi. Maar door 's avonds laat gesleep van bed en matras kwam 's morgensvroeg de ware aard van de kamer goed naar boven, Wij als 2 vrienden besloten onze bedden van elkaar te plaatsen omdat deze tegen elkaar stonden als een 2 persoons bed. Onder de bedden bleek echter zeker een half jaar (en dan druk ik het nog zuinig uit) niet gestofzuigd of schoongemaakt te zijn, terwijl de bedden prima met wieltjes te verplaatsen zijn voor opmaak. Plukken dik stof, plastic rietjes, omhulsels van medicijnen en een gebruikte tandenstoker op de grond. Dan ga je toch even verder kijken. Op de vloerbedekking buiten in het looppad gedeelte is er blijkbaar koffie geknoeid en niet echt een poging ondernomen om goed te reinigen. Bijzet tafeltjes niet afgenomen. Koffiekringen van vorige gasten zaten nog op de tafeltjes. De linnen sheets op de bedden waren niet schoon, en zaten spatten bloed of koffie in? . Dan maar even het matras gecheckt, en had ik beter niet kunnen doen. Vieze donkere vlekken in het matras van wat er ook maar in je opkomt. Uiteindelijk hebben we er bij het uitchecken een melding van gemaakt; Ik vermeld er wel even bij dat dienstdoende staff ons erg netjes heeft behandeld. Wij hadden onze kamer eerder goed kunnen checken, maar doordat we 's morgens pas geconfronteerd werden met de viezigheid van de kamer, zijn we niet eerder naar de receptie gegaan. Daarbuiten ben ik normaal niet zo'n klager, maar dit bleek niet incidenteels op deze kamer. Ik werd ook verteld dat we zeker eerder naar de receptie hadden kunnen gaan om onze klacht neer te leggen. Maar omdat we 's avonds laat met leeslamp verlichting met bedden zijn gaan schuiven was het ons dus niet eerder opgevallen. Uiteindelijk zou de hotelmanager de zaak gaan waarnemen en ons benaderen met een passende oplossing. We wachten nog steeds op enige reactie. En dat doet mij deze ervaring beoordelen als simpelweg: Slecht !!!
