Heerlijk geslapen bij Hotel Driland in Gronau, nette kamer met prima bedden, schone badkamer en erg vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt is goed met een ruime keuze uit diverse soorten brood en vleeswaren, ook zijn er gekookte eieren en roereieren met spek. Ruime parkeergelegenheid en gratis WiFi.

Nice and clean room. Large parking and a place covered for smokers outside. Restaurant is very good and breakfast perfect with a very large choice. The waiters are efficient, professional and very kind. In summary a good place for a stop in the area for an affordable budget. Thanks for your welcome and kindness.

door omstandigheden wilde ik vroeger inchecken, en daar had ik vooraf over gebeld. Dat kon, kreeg ik te horen. Bij aankomst dacht de apert onvriendelijke dame achter de receptie daar heel anders over. Met veel zuchten en steunen liet ze me weten dat dat echt vreselijk onhandig voor haar was. Uiteindelijk kreeg ik een kamer, aan de voorkant van het hotel. Zeer lawaaiig door de drukke weg én de gasten die onder mijn raam tot diep in de nacht luidruchtig zaten te borrelen. De kamer is behoorlijk ouderwets: vloerbedekking met veel vlekken, een spartaans 1-persoonsbedje en een ouderwetse verkalkte douche. het eten in het restaurant viel tegen : ik bestelde een cesar-salade. Maar waarom ik ruim een uur moet wachten op wat sla met dressing en een stukje gebakken kip is mij een absoluut raadsel. het ontbijt was wel in orde. pluspunten: het hotel heeft een leuk terras aan een kleine vijver.

Die Umgebung direkt an der (sehr offenen) Grenze zu Holland lädt zu schönen Ausflügen, am Besten mit dem Fahrrad ein. Das Restaurant bietet sehr schmackhaftes, lecker angerichtetes Esssen zu vernünftigen Preisen an. Die Bedienung braucht allerdings oft einige Zeit. Speisen auf der Gartenterasse oder im grosszügigen Speisesaal ist trotzdem eine Freude. Das Frühstücksangebot (Büffet) ist reichhaltig, lediglich etwas Gemüse, wie Tomaten, Paprika oder Gurke wäre noch wünschenswert. Als Summe: empfehlenswert.
