PJs Hostel

I stayed here while walking the Pieterpad and had a very pleasant experience. The space was spacious and comfortable, making it easy to spread out my luggage and organize my belongings. There were also tables and chairs available, which gave me a nice place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. The shower facilities were clean, spacious, and there were plenty of showers, so I never had to wait. I also really appreciated that towels were provided. Most importantly, I slept very well. The bed was comfortable, the pillow was great, and I woke up feeling well-rested and ready for the next stage of my hike. Overall, it was a comfortable, clean, and welcoming place to stay. Highly recommended for fellow Pieterpad walkers. Also the supermarket and pharmacy were nearby, and AH close to the hostel has a coffee machine that sells coffee for 1 euro! P.S I'd reccommend you to try to request 320 or 321. They are a little more private compared to others.

Although clean ad neat, it was kinda awkward sleeping in a cupboard. Breathing was a struggle.

When I was about to check out, the receptionist told me that I hadn’t paid the city tax, even though I had already paid it in coins when I checked in. I was surprised at first, but it turned out that the receptionist who checked me in had forgotten to record the payment in their system. Fortunately, everything was sorted out. All good! The staff were very kind and gave me a lower bed because I can’t climb to the upper bed.

Don't get used to living in this kind of cocoon

Very clean, with great location and in house spots!

There is no kitchen, kettle or microwave. There is no common area. Because of this people eat in the beds, in dormitory and even in hallways. Under the beds are many crumbs that do need yo be cleaned up. Check in was great but after that staff were less helpful. The cost of a coffee changed with the staff person. The place you could sit to eat your own food changed (even though the restaurant was closed most of the time I was there. Many people staying there had no idea you could eat your own food at a table so one guy found bathroom was best place. The few garbage cans were full of food and containers. Lights stay on all night in dorms so bring eye mask (could not find a switch in the room). Good location and so much potential. Designate a common area for phone calls and eating - maybe add a microwave and kettle. And make sure all customers have the same information about where they can eat or sit to talk.
