Evergreen Lodge at Yosemite

The grounds of the lodge are beautiful. The food is good and the atmosphere is relaxing. Staff are nice and helpful, especially the recreation staff who helped us plan all the fun things we did. We took advantage of the hot tub, which felt great after a day of hiking.

Booked our excursions through Evergreen from sister property, lovely hotel to check in and very helpful recreation desk attendees, was able to rent various hiking equipment if needed but hiking poles were included with our guide if needed. Our guide, Tyler, was very knowledgeable about the park, geology and wildlife. He answered every question from our group and was so accommodating to everyone finding us the perfect spot for lunch. He was training 2 guides and taught them (and us) many things. Would highly recommend this tour, especially because of the experience with our guide, the comfort of the sprinter van and provided amenities.

We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who went out of her way to make us feel welcome after a very long drive and a last minute booking. The lodge was very comfortable and the balcony offered great views to watch the sunset over the park. There is a very useful general store and the breakfast and dinner were excellent. It was very near the Hetch Hetchy entrance to the Park.

Our group of 5 ladies had a fantastic time at Evergreen Lodge. We were in a family cabin and it was very comfy, even with 1 bathroom for 5 women! Our favorite adventure was the tour of gorgeous Yosemite Valley with our wonderful guide Tyler. He was so knowledgeable, fun, and enthusiastic! We had a great time with him. Thanks Tyler!

The seclusion of the resort while being so close to Yosemite was everything we'd hoped for and more. The food was amazing and the service was superb. We were so sad to leave but are already booking our next trip! Our stay was in a king cabin near the sunset overlook which made for amazing views of the park. We did two nights which was not enough time to fully enjoy the resort. Our next visit will be longer so we can take part in the many amenities on site!

Great place. Beautiful cabins, with excellent Wifi and - bless them! - plenty of electrical outlets and USB plugs. My brother and I shared a 2-bedroom cabin, and our friends had a 1-bedroom. All very clean, and beautifully sited, surrounded by trees. We ate in the restaurant both nights we were there, and the food was excellent, the staff friendly. So, as for the facility itself, it's an easy 5 stars. What brings it down is the location - a long windy road, and rather than being 'just outside the park' - it is a good 45 minutes or more to the park entrance from there. If you're going to the Yosemite Valley Lodge, allow more than an hour. We had booked the Valley Floor Tour - we left Evergreen at 8.35 for a 10am start; managed to miss the turn for the Lodge the first time and had to go around the 1-way loop again: the sad result is we missed our tour by 2 minutes. My friend and I were already in the bus, my brother and my friend's husband were just crossing the parking lot; it was 10.02, and the driver wouldn't wait for the men to get there. We had to get off the bus and missed our tour. No refund, of course; they had said they're strict about timeliness, and boy, did they mean it. The kick in the teeth was that TripAdvisor wouldn't let me leave a review for the tour, presumably because we had missed it. The lady at Yosemite Lodge was unhelpful - she could have told us about the shuttle bus. The shuttle bus was great, once we found it, and we still managed to see the sites in the park. All in all, it was a good day. Back to England!

We loved the cabin in the woods atmosphere, along with the cozy and well maintained room. The nightly smores were a highlight, and the the onsite restaurant provided tasty and hearty grub after a full day exploring Yosemite. We joined a full day tour of Yosemite Valley with Tyler, and had an amazing time learning from such a passionate guide.
