This resort is relatively large in the Yosemite tourist area. The rooms are nice and it is about 20 to 30 minutes drive from the west gate of Yosemite, which is convenient. The hotel is self-service and there are almost no people.

I stayed here for one night after a backpacking trip and it was the perfect place to rest and recover. The lodge and grounds are well kept and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant next door is great! This place is a great home base for a park vacation.

It was overnight stay on the way to Yosemite, but a wonderful one. The restaurant adjacent to the room was very good.
More important, I left for an overnight backpacking trip in the park and left my camera bag behind. I could check on it as I had no signal in the park. They had it the next day. AND the $1,000 worth of gear in it.
Super place and, happily, honest. Thanks Rick in house keeping!

We needed somewhere close to Yosemite National Park that wasn’t too expensive and was clean & we hoped for updated…Buck Meadows Lodge was all of the above! Plus (and it’s a big plus) they have a perfect “roadside diner” 2 doors down from our room, The Lucky Buck! The Lucky Buck has good food, great service, and cold beer!

Our stay was short and sweet, we were able to use the pool at the sister property. The room was tiny and it was exactly what we needed. It was clean and a quiet area. The ac worked great and the shower had great pressure. It’s a short drive of 20 minutes to the gates at Yosemite.
FYI for future guests you will check in at the west gate hotel next door.
I think the signage for the check in should be a lot more visible when driving in the driveway. It was blocked by a car, so we had drove around the property twice before seeing it.

Great location outside of Yosemite Park. Great food at this lodge, soon to have an EV charging Station that is needed to relive any range anxiety. The Lodge was quaint and dated, the room was clean, comfortable, no problems with the amenities, and parking was right outside the door.

All right for a stop when going to Yosemite. Typical motel, not without charm, but rooms are old. The diner is nice though. Dinner until 9pm, breakfast as of 7 am . Plenty of parking space, so that was convenient. As said, it will do for a short stopover.
