Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Local Life – Highly Recommended!
I had an excellent stay at Mingde Meiju Apartment in Guangzhou. The apartment was well organised, it had separate living area, bedroom, a small pantry and a washroom. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well-located right in the middle of a local neighbourhood, which gave me a genuine feel of the city’s everyday life. There is school right in front of the building.
What really made the stay stand out was the care and hospitality of the owner/caretaker. Due to the language barrier and that I didn’t have WeChat set up, he personally came to the apartment whenever I needed the assistance. That kind of support and attention really made a difference and helped me feel at ease.
Another highlight of the area is a restaurant (right near the entrance of the building lane) run by a lovely couple. The lady and her husband were incredibly kind, and their food is absolutely worth trying.

The owner was very nice, and the accommodations were excellent. The sheets weren't the standard white sheets the hotel had; they were the kind the owner had bought himself. What surprised me most was that I had purchased a VIP projector, so I didn't have to project movies myself. After checking out, the owner even offered to give me a room because I had nowhere to go that afternoon.
