Hilton Garden Inn Guangzhou Tianhe

I arrived quite late, hoping for a quiet place to rest, and the front desk staff thoughtfully upgraded me to a suite. Upon entering the room, I found it to be cozy and elegant, with a soft and comfortable bed. The room service was also very prompt. The bathroom facilities were complete, with plenty of hot water, and a hot shower instantly washed away the fatigue of the journey. Moreover, the room had excellent soundproofing, completely blocking out any external noise.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's right across an overpass from the metro station. However, it's a renovated hotel, and the service needs improvement. The staff aren't proactively friendly, and issues weren't resolved promptly. The cleanliness is decent. Baiyun Mountain is only about two to three hundred meters away. I hope some problems can be addressed, such as the incredibly slow elevators and the poor breakfast.

Came to Guangzhou with friends for a food trip and stayed at the Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe. The hotel was under renovation at the time, but it wasn't noisy at all, which was great. My only minor complaint is that the check-in process was incredibly slow; we waited for half an hour.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the service was excellent. There was someone at the lobby to help open car doors and carry luggage. They also quickly helped me retrieve something I left in the mini-fridge. The only minor downsides were that the pillows were a bit too soft, and I had to wait until past 1 PM for an available room because the hotel was fully booked the night before.

The hotel is quite close to Guangzhou East Railway Station. I booked a Deluxe City View Room, and although I was assigned a room on the 12th floor, the soundproofing was very poor. The noise from people inside the hotel and traffic outside was just too loud. The room itself was clean, but there was a sewer smell in the bathroom, which is quite disappointing for a five-star hotel. Also, booking through Trip.com meant I couldn't earn Hilton points.

The room was spacious, bright, and clean. We are an elderly couple traveling. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation access. There's a great little shop just a two or three-minute walk from the hotel where you can enjoy delicious Cantonese Cheung fun. We chose a room without breakfast this time because we wanted to try different local snacks. It was a very pleasant stay.

Location: It's right by the main road, so it's a bit noisy. Plus, we happened to be there during a renovation, which added to the disturbance. Hygiene: The room was quite clean, but the comforters felt damp, probably due to the weather. Service: The front desk staff was very professional. They quickly stopped someone from cutting in line, which was great! 👍🏻

Poor value for money. For a 500-a-night hotel, the facilities are very ordinary. 1. The view from the window was blocked by signs and air conditioning units, completely obscured and covered in trash. We had to ask the front desk to move us to the 10th floor to get a more open view, although it was still facing dilapidated buildings and completely different from the photos. 2. The fridge wasn't plugged in, and there was no clear indication. We only realized it wasn't plugged in after leaving a cake in it overnight. We then found a notice tucked into a gap in the table saying to save electricity, so the fridge is unplugged by default. 3. The 8th floor had a strong smell of disinfectant. 4. Inconvenient transportation. While not far from the subway station as the crow flies, it's not a short walk. No ride-hailing cars would accept our requests, so we ended up having to take the bus. 5. The shampoo was terrible; my hair felt like I'd washed it with soapy water afterwards.

The room was quite spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Worth coming back again?
