An absolutely wonderful stay! The guesthouse is tucked away in an alley brimming with old Cantonese charm. Nearby, there's a magnolias tree in full bloom that smells incredibly fragrant, and right outside the door is a frangipani tree, dropping a few beautiful blossoms every day! The soundproofing in the room is excellent. Even though it was likely fully booked during the May Day holiday, I didn't hear any noise. The wooden and concrete style gives it a very Japanese feel, and many windows offer views of trees outside – the design is really thoughtful. Toiletries are available on demand, and you can enjoy free, unlimited Vita soy milk, Coke, and other drinks. There's also a self-service coffee machine (the coffee is exceptionally good! I made it every day!). The direct drinking water dispenser provides both ice and hot water, which is clean and convenient. What truly stood out was how friendly and thoughtful the staff sister was! She'd greet us in the mornings, compliment the flowers we bought, and even opened the door with an umbrella to see us off when it rained. She was very proactive in sharing all sorts of details about the guesthouse. When our travel plans changed unexpectedly, she promptly refunded the last day's room fee and even asked about our flight rebooking situation. It's such a wonderfully warm place! I'll definitely come back to stay here again!

Staying at Bù Yuǎn (Not Far) is like stepping into spring in Guangzhou. Next time I'm in Guangzhou, I'll definitely choose this place again. 📍 Bù Yuǎn Homestay | A healing haven enveloped by kapok flowers and a fairyland • Within walking distance to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, absolutely breathtaking during kapok season. • Yuexiu Park is shrouded in morning mist, making it feel like walking into a wuxia drama. • The homestay has a natural wood aesthetic with meticulous attention to detail; every photo you take here turns out to be a stunning, atmospheric shot. • The owner is super nice and even recommends hidden local culinary gems. Stop queuing at those trendy网红 (wanghong/influencer) spots when you visit Guangzhou; staying here is the real immersive travel experience.

I come back to stay here for a night every now and then 🥰🥰. I'm already quite familiar with the host and the auntie. Even though I'm far from home, I still feel as relaxed as if I were at home.

The neighborhood is very quiet. Drinks are provided. The place was spotlessly clean. It also features a huge window, which made the stay very comfortable. This is my second time staying here. Luggage storage is available, and if you contact them in advance, early check-in is usually possible. The subway station is also very conveniently located. The surrounding area feels very safe.
