The lobby is really nice. I decided to book here because of the James Joyce theme. Unfortunately the windowless room they allocated me had a very bad smell and I asked for it to be changed. The second one was a bit better but still smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Also they placed me next to a very noisy family who thought it was ok to let their children play in the corridor. They screamed a lot. Overall a negative experience. The nearby Paco hotel was much better and 30% cheaper.

This hotel made my trip to Guangzhou very enjoyable. They offer a good variety of breakfast options, the price is reasonable, the rooms are cozy, and the service is excellent.
