ECHIC Hotel (Beijing Road Subway Station Branch, Dafosi Temple, Guangzhou)

I do not know how to express this but it was by an large a disappointment. In short, all I can say if your priority is location. Period. Then it is your choice. Do not expect much from front desk because they are just there to check you in. If you ask them what are the recommendation, the lady front desk will tell you its beijing road so you can find many choices. If you are paying for breakfast, my advice is to eat outside. The elevator is shared with an apartment on 2nd floor and secret room entertainment on level 3. Your room is on level 4. Choose a room with window coz it will be closed to a hotel room. Else don't waste your time. Gym is beside a washing machine and dryer. Last but not least, when you check out, the male reception is only interested in you giving them a review. So this is my review. The only consolation I must say is the sincere room service ladies who are friendlier and sincere than the reception. So if Yi zhi hotel is serious about service and hospitality, do improve on Beijing Road Branch else you are jeapardizng your reputation. By the way, I am staying now in Fraser suites in Tian He district now beside your hotel.

overall ok. only some delivery man can't fine ECHIC hotel , if you told them YI ZHI hotel they can find their way 😆

I am writing a bad review because the pictures put up on Trip.com looks vastly different from the actual hotel which is 1. Tucked away in an alley that is so difficult to find 2. The front desk area looks nothing like the photos put up online. Additionally, i had a bad experience staying here as when i was first checked into my room, the aircon was broken. After running it at 16 degrees the entire day, the room was still stuffy and hot. I went down to the front desk only to be met with a super unhelpful lady who INSISTED that the aircon was alright and that i am the one who is not satisfied with the coldness of the aircon. Having stayed at so many hotels prior to this, I’m sure i would have known if the aircon was broken or not. I also highlighted that the toilet ventilation was poor as during my showers, the mist would be so unbearable that i had to open the toilet door to let it out. But similarly, she insisted that all rooms are like that. I think this hotel needs alot of improvement in terms of removing the inaccurate photographs that is misleading to foreign customers. Secondly, the service needs to be relooked at as i personally do not think that gaslighting and ignoring feedback is a good way to improve your business. Please beware before booking this hotel.

Great location. Room is clean and suitable for a simple stay. Breakfast is good.

location was ok (around 8-10mins walk from train station), walking distance to beijing lu street (less than 5mins). cant hear much from the escape room downstairs but the sound proof is not very good. can hear people slamming their room door.
